The objective of Korean-American Cultural Center is to share the Korean heritage within and outside of Korean-American community, to promote healthy cultural values through constructing a Korean-American culture that is compatible with Korean-Americans living in the multicultural environment. We also would like to address social issues that the Korean-American community may be engaged and concerned with and draw possible resolutions therefore.
P'UNG-M'UL IN ACTION
Can you imagine the exciting sounds of P'ung-m'ul, Korean traditional percussions, echoing through the heart of Washington, D.C.? We have been making small steps to make this a reality.
SONGS IN HARMONY
Love songs, folk songs, yodel songs, you name it.... we sing songs about our lives, history, society and more. Korean people always have lived with songs in their hearts, being one of the nations who appreciates and emphasizes the significance of harmony.
WEALTH OF OUR KOREAN HERITAGE
Having come from a distinctive cultural and social background, it can be easy to get lost in a society full of different cultures existing within rampant commercialism and individualism. Korea has a magnificent history of five thousand years decorated with rich cultural resources. Wouldn't it be a delightful experience to join us in making our precious culture grow for the better?
LIVING IN AMERICA
The Korean-American community is a part of the greater multicultural society, which we appreciate. We are concerned with issues regarding diversity and equality.
OUR DOOR IS WIDE OPEN!
We welcome you to join us in our activities. Come and see what Korean-American Cultural Center has to offer.
