영국 내전 협회 왕당파(왕립군) 지부의 역사 재연배우들이 1649년 찰스 1세의 처형을 기념하고 있다.

👑🫡 🎖️영국 내전 협회(內戰協會)는 1980년에 설립되었으며, 왕립군(King's Army)과 의회파(Roundhead Association)의 상위 조직이다. 협회의 목적은 찰스 1세 국왕과 그의 지지자들, 그리고 의회와 스코틀랜드의 반대파 사이의 내전(內戰)에 대한 인식을 높이는 것이다. 협회는 영국 전역에서 내전 전투 재연 및 기타 역사 재현 행사와 교육 전시를 개최하여 이러한 목적을 달성한다. 재연 협회는 연대, 무기, 복장, 생활방식과 같은 세부적인 사항뿐만 아니라 실제 창, 머스킷총, 대포를 사용한 모의 전투에도 중점을 둔다. 영국 내전 협회는 여러 개의 소규모 하위 조직으로 구성되어 있으며, 각 조직은 반자치적으로 운영되고 회원들은 이들을 "연대"라고 부른다. 각 연대는 영국 내전 협회의 두 군대, 즉 의회파(Roundhead Association)와 왕당파(King's Army) 중 하나에 속한다. 의회파는 의회군, 즉 "라운드헤드(Roundhead)"와 스코틀랜드의 언약파(Covenanters of Scotland)를 대표하며, 왕당파는 왕의 군대, 즉 "기사파" 또는 "왕당파"를 대표한다. 현재 왕당파는 7개의 연대를, 의회파는 13개의 연대를 관할하고 있다. 일반 보병으로 구성된 "보병" 연대는 창이나 머스킷총으로 무장한다. 말을 타고 검과 카빈총으로 무장한 기병 연대와 다양한 크기의 대포로 무장한 포병 연대가 있다.
