🏛국정연설 또는 연두교서(때때로 SOTU로 축약됨)는 미국 대통령이 국가의 현재 상황에 대해 대부분의 해가 시작될 무렵 미국 의회의 합동회의에 전달하는 연례 메시지이다. 연설에는 일반적으로 국가 예산, 경제, 뉴스, 의제, 진행 상황, 성과, 대통령의 우선 순위 및 입법 제안에 대한 보고가 포함된다. 이 연설은 미국 헌법 제2조 제3항 제1절에 명시된 대통령의 "국정 현황에 대한 정보를 수시로 의회에 제공하고, 필요하고 적절하다고 판단되는 조치를 의회가 고려하도록 권고해야 한다"는 요건을 충족한다. 미국 건국 후 첫 100년 동안 대통령은 주로 서면 보고서만 의회에 제출했다. 1913년 이후, 제28대 미국 대통령인 우드로 윌슨은 대통령의 정책에 대한 지지를 결집하는 동시에 보다 상세한 보고서를 제출하는 방법으로 의회에서 직접 연설하는 관행을 시작했다. 라디오와 텔레비전의 등장으로 이제 연설은 여러 방송사를 통해 미국 전역의 모든 시간대에 생중계된다. 연설은 일반적으로 1월이나 2월에 열리며, 하원의장이 대통령에게 하원 회의장 사용을 초청한다. 제40대 미국 대통령인 로널드 레이건은 1981년부터 새로 취임한 대통령들이 임기 첫해에 의회에서 연설을 하되, 그 연설을 공식적인 "국정연설"로 지정하지 않는 관례를 시작했다.

🏛도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 24일 집권 2기 첫 국정연설에서 “경제는 빠른 성장세를 보이고 있고 군사력도 안정적”이라고 평가했다. 트럼프 대통령은 이날 워싱턴 국회의사당 회의장에서 진행된 국정연설에서 “취임 1년 만에 누구도 본 적 없는 변화와 시대적 대전환을 이뤘다고 자부심과 존엄을 갖고 말할 수 있다”며 이같이 밝혔다. 트럼프 대통령은 “이제 미국 국경이 안전해지고 미국의 정신을 되찾았다”며 “적들이 미국을 두려워하고 있고 미국은 존경받고 있다”고 말했다.
