Martial Arts, Life, and Love Seen Through the Golden Ratio
Dynamic Balance Completed by Tuning Our Imperfection
1. The Truth of Nature Shown by the Golden Ratio
Even the "Golden Ratio," known as the most perfect and beautiful ratio in math, is actually an endless number (an irrational number).
This shows that the true rule of nature and the world is not a fixed ending, but an endless flow.
As we always emphasize in Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu Kimu training, every movement starts from a small circle and grows into a large circle.
This comes from the smooth flow of energy inside our body.
Understanding how our body moves in circles, turns, and spirals (the movement chain) is very important.
It helps us feel how energy moves not only in sword training, but also in Kimu-Acupuncture practice.
2. Human Imperfection by Nature
Just as the Golden Ratio never ends in a simple number, human life is also not perfectly finished from the start.
Our imperfection is not a mistake to fix. It is nature's rule that helps us wake up and grow.
3. Wave Movements Made by Differences and Twists
When people meet, there is no perfect match or balance. Because we are different, we experience small mismatches, twists, and sometimes pain.
But just as living things grow stronger through challenges, these imperfect gaps let our energy flow out and in, open and close. By overcoming these gaps, we truly heal and grow.
The wave movement in Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu connects technique, philosophy, and healing.
It lets us feel nature's movement with our whole body and gives us the inner power to care for ourselves until the very end.
4. The Meaning of Living Well – Harmony and Balance
Living well does not mean holding onto one perfect answer.
It means adjusting our distance with others during life’s changes, using our weakness as energy to grow, and finding "Dynamic Balance" every moment.
This process is human life itself, and it is how everything in the universe stays in place.
When we find this balance, health and happiness naturally follow like gifts.
5. Life as Training, and Love
In life, we call this process of adjusting and healing "PRACTICE." We live through many meetings and goodbyes, growing our mind through our thoughts, words, and actions.
The real power behind this growth is "LOVE."
The amount of love we create while alive is the true good fortune (blessing) we get to enjoy.
When our life ends, we fully enjoy that blessing and return to nature.
This is the start and end of human life, and the true law of the universe.
6. Reaching the Ultimate Goal of Life and Martial Arts
In Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu,
we always do our best to connect martial arts training with daily life, so both can move toward a better path.
The techniques, philosophy, and healing of martial arts are connected as one.
To help people deeply understand this principle, we divide our training into:
* Kimu Breathing
* Kimu Movement
* Kimu Meditation
* Kimu Body Work
* Kimu Healing
Based on Kimu-Acupuncture and Wave Movement, which we share in the 21st century, we pass down these teachings around the world.
Through learning and realization, practitioners understand the structure of our Three-Element Philosophy (Samwon) and master the foundation of Martial Arts.
In daily life, they live healthy and happy, and finally reach the ultimate goal of human life: Spiritual Growth.

Note: Geometric Patterns in a Circle Made by the Golden Ratio
This image shows geometric patterns (mandalas) drawn inside a circle using the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio. When you connect points on a circle by multiplying their numbers by n, a balanced and beautiful pattern appears whenever n reaches a Fibonacci number (2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34...).
Characteristics by Multiples:
* \times 2 Pattern: Forms a soft heart shape (Cardioid) inside the circle. It shows the most basic wave of energy.
* \times 3 Pattern: Splits into two petal shapes (Nephroid) to make balance.
* \times 5 Pattern: Shows 4 clear petals and curves, making harmony in four directions.
* \times 8 Pattern: Creates 7 petal shapes, and the lines start to overlap more closely.
* \times 13 Pattern: Makes 12 outer curves, creating a 3D spiral shape as lines pull toward the center.
* \times 21 & \times 34 Patterns: As numbers grow larger, lines become very dense. It creates a huge cosmic mandala pattern with an open circle at the center.
Principles and Symbolism:
* Dynamic Balance: Simple straight lines meet to form a stable and beautiful pattern every time the number hits a Fibonacci number.
* Reaching the Golden Ratio: As Fibonacci numbers grow, their ratio gets closer to the Golden Ratio (1.618...), creating infinite harmony and depth inside the circle.
