From picture books to painted walls.

We caught up with Beatrice Oh, the artist behind our EYC wall mural and beloved titles Peel, Dumpling the Tiger, and Lucky Me.

Through her visit, students had the opportunity to engage directly with a local author-illustrator—sparking curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for storytelling and visual expression‎.

Hearing firsthand how ideas grow into stories and artworks encouraged students to explore their own voices, ask thoughtful questions, and see themselves as creators in their own right.

Surrounded by their energy and imagination, Beatrice shared how working with children continues to inspire her practice, bringing a sense of wonder into every piece she creates.
