우리의 만남/ 김강수


인생은 나와 너와의 만남이다.
나는 무엇이고 너는 무엇이냐.

나는 인격이요, 주체요. 정신이다.
너도 인격이요, 주체요, 정신이다.



나와 너와의 만남은 인격과 인격의 만남이요,
정신과 정신의 만남이요,
주체와 주체와의 만남이다.


물건과 물건의 만남이 아니다.
내가 너를 도구처럼 다루고
네가 나를 물건처럼 이용하려고 할 때
비인간화의 비극이 생긴다.



그러면
나와 너 사이에 있어야 할 기본 원리가 무엇이냐.
우리 사이에 있어야 할 가장 근본적인 덕,
가장 중요한 원리는 사랑과 성실이다.

My encounter with you is the encounter of character and personality,
It's a meeting of mind and spirit,

There is a tragedy of dehumanization.
