From 2026, Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu will offer wider access to the practice of Ki-Mu and Vipassana-Acupuncture.
Back in the early 2000s, attempts were made in Greece and Finland to explore the subtle energetic dimensions through Ki-Mu and Vipassana-Acupuncture, yet without clear outcomes.
Nearly 20 years later, through the dedication of global practitioners, we officially launched these teachings across the Netherlands in July, Bulgaria in August, and the USA in September, demonstrating how to practice 'Follow The Energy' and Vipassana-Acupuncture.
By 2027, we look forward to seeing many more dedicated individuals training with both the long sword and the short dagger(needles).

《Vibrations of the Universe Embedded in the Blade's Edge: Wavelength Practice(Pajang Undong) in Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu and Modern Science》
■ Prologue: Martial Arts and Life Are Paths of Self-Realization and Self-Reliance
Throughout history, martial arts served as lethal tools for self-defense and subduing opponents.
In modern times, they have evolved into a means of cultivating health and disciplining the mind.
Physical techniques designed to overpower an opponent are, of course, the fundamental foundation that any martial art must possess.
However, physical training directed purely at what is visible eventually hits a limit as the machine of the body grows old and decays.
Conversely, the awareness and enlightenment gained through the physical body—discovering the invisible principles of the universe—do not fade with the passage of time.
Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu emerged in the 21st century as the first system of training harmoniously designed to guide practitioners toward this ultimate goal of human life.
During my congratulatory speech at the opening ceremony of the 2009 World Haedong Kumdo Championship, I vowed to many participants that, following the event, I would reveal the principles and truths of nature through actual training experiences, sharing the principles of a meaningful life with people around the globe.
In 2015, after concluding a training session with the Brazilian team in Busan, I stepped down from organizing external events and managing domestic dojangs.
Moving to the cottage where located at the foot of a mountain in a rural village of Miryang in Korea, I dedicated myself entirely to deep study and writing.
As a fruit of these efforts, I published the five-volume series The Right Path of Cultivation alongside two English books.
Ultimately, one comes to realize that the sacred scriptures passed down by ancient sages and the philosophies of both East and West all converge upon a single universal principle.
Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu explains the entire mechanism of cultivation—from the very first step to the final destination—under this single principle based on the fundamental Wavelength Movement of nature.
Because it is so concise and clear, many people pass it by without notice; today, however, I wish to calmly share this truth through the language of modern science.
Through international seminars and various encounters, I vividly experience the coming together and parting of people: Inyeon(인연)—the flow of energy attracting and repelling.
Even when conveying the most noble values, the depth and resonance vary according to each person's affinity and readiness of mind.
Rather than numerical expansion or the scale of events, we in Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu prioritize the depth and quality of each practitioner’s journey.
In the end, both martial practice and life are journeys of self-realization, paths where each individual must come to their own awakening.
1. The Science of Attraction and Repulsion, and Its Alignment with Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu's Wavelength Practice
○ Scientific Background:
Isaac Newton was the first to mathematically prove that attractive (pulling) and repulsive (pushing) forces exist in the universe.
Later, electromagnetism established that pulling and pushing are fundamental wave principles that maintain the shape and movement of the universe.
○ Martial Significance:
All life and energy in the universe flow through endless waves of contraction and expansion without stopping for a single moment.
The Wavelength Practice of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu aligns perfectly with this natural law.
When you let go of artificial or forced strength and surrender your body and sword to Nature's Signal (Order) of Pulling and Pushing, pure wave resonance finally occurs.
2. Quantum Wave Theory: The "Zeroized-Mind" and the Reality of Wavelength Practice
○ Scientific Background:
Modern quantum physics explains that everything in the universe is not made of fixed particles, but of constantly vibrating waves.
○ Martial Significance:
Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu begins with the "Zeroized-Mind" state, which clears away inner greed and artificial force. When the mind is emptied to a clean zero point (0), the cosmic wave movement and the body's movement become one, setting the true starting line for all training.
3. Tesla’s 3-6-9 Wave Principle and the Scientific Background of Kimu and Shin-Chim Training
○ Scientific Background:
Nikola Tesla presented the numbers 3, 6, and 9 as keys to understanding the energy and vibration of the universe.
The universe operates through wave stages: 3 (Intention), 6 (Imagination & Visualization), and 9 (Completion).
* Martial Significance:
The Kimu Practice and Shin-Chim training of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu express this wave principle through the physical body and energy.
Starting from the principle of "the body moving naturally by itself," it is a practical training method that embodies nature's energy through repeated experience.
4. Natural Signals (Order) and Bio-Resonance (Follow The Energy) — Wavelength Practice
○ Scientific Background:
Nature always sends consistent signals (Order) of order and energy.
Science calls the phenomenon where the body and mind tune into the same frequency as these signals "bio-resonance." Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu defines this as "Wavelength Practice."
○ Martial Significance:
Beyond aggressive training aimed at forcing opponents down, "Follow The Energy" means feeling and guiding the natural flow of being pulled and pushed.
This goes beyond simple physical training, leading to self-realization (Self-acquirement / Self-magnetization) of the Mind Sword (Sim-Kum), the unity of Sword and Zen (Kum-Seon-Il-Yeo), and the Life-Giving Sword (Hwal-In-Kum).
5. Zero-Point Field and Its Alignment with Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu's Zeroized-Mind
○ Scientific Background:
In quantum physics, the "Zero-Point Field" is the lowest energy state where all resistance disappears. It is the fundamental field where new possibilities begin.
○ Martial Significance:
The "Zeroized Mind" of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu returns our consciousness to this fundamental state.
When the mind's baseline is set to zero, we become fully ready to receive natural energy without bias.
Reflecting on the energy received in every single moment is the core philosophy of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu.
ref) Zeroized Mind:
The state of completely resetting and recalibrating the body-mind system back to zero prior to practice
(수련 전 몸과 마음의 시스템을 완전한 '0'의 상태로 포맷하고 재조정하는 마음가짐)
The Zeroized Mind in Sinchim training is an essential setup process that resets all existing input data and resistance of the body—a precise biological mechanism—to '0'.
Only when this mechanism is fully reset and recalibrated to its baseline can the fingertips (Eye-Fingers / Beam-Fingers) read and transmit the subtle natural waves and light energy without error.
6. Tesla’s Law of Energy and the Energy Flow of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu
○ Scientific Background:
Nikola Tesla empphasized that to understand the universe, we must look at unseen "energy, vibration, and frequency."
○ Martial Significance:
Instead of keeping this as an abstract theory, practitioners experience it directly through double-sword training and wave motion (Pajang Undong).
By becoming repeatedly aware of this invisible Energy Flow throughout the body, practitioners achieve Self-Magnetization—aligning themselves with natural energy.
7. Healing Practice:
Sensing the Light Energy Through the Embodied Wavelength Practice
○ Scientific Background:
As practice deepens and the inner mind reaches a zeroed state, the body's natural sensors become finely tuned, allowing us to feel and transfer delicate flows of energy.
○ Martial Significance:
Energy embodied through wave motion expands to the fingertips in two ways: Eye-Fingers (fingertips that feel and read the flow of energy) and Beam-Fingers (fingertips that project and deliver harmonious energy).
This marks the beginning of healing—restoring balance to another person's body and mind in harmony with nature.
■ Conclusion: The Integration and Passing Down of Martial Technique, Philosophy, and Healing
The foundation of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu’s mind-body practice, Kimu (Energy in the Martial arts), and Sinchim ( Vipassana-Acupuncture) is Wavelength Practice (Pajang Undong).
This path—mastering the real experience of "Energy Flow" by following the principle "Follow The Energy"—is a unique training system introduced for the first time in the 21st century to unite martial arts and daily life into one.
Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu teaches that physical technique (Sulgi), understanding life's truth (Philosophy), and healing body and mind (Medicine/Healing) are never separate.
Growing deeper and more mature every day through the single principle of wave motion—this is both the beginning and the ultimate destination of martial practice,
and it embodies the true transmission of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu.
