● 취득방법

 외국 간호대학 졸업자를 관할하는 관청인 외국간호대학졸업자위원위에 서류 또는 인터넷으로 신청하면 서류심사를

 거쳐 신청 4~5개월 뒤 응시여부가 결정되며, 응시허가를 받은 후 90일 이내에 시험을 치러야 한다.
 ① 간호과정 범주 내에 내과, 외과, 산부인과, 소아과, 정신과 과목들이 출제되는데 각과목별로 무작위로 섞여서 문제

     가 제출된다.
 ② Nursing model의 통합적 사고에 관련된 문제 및 실무에 근거를 둔 문제가 출제된다.
 ③ CAT방식
 ④ 75~265문제가 출제되며, 시험시간은 최대 6시간이다.

● 합격(예정)자 결정기준 등

 ① 시험의 합격결정에 있어서는 매 과목 4할 이상, 전 과목 총점의 6할 이상을 득점한 자 를 합격예정자로 결정
 ② 합격예정자에 대해서는 한국사회복지사협회에서 응시자격 서류심사를 실시하며 심사결과 부적격 사유에  해당되

     거나, 응시자격서류를 정해진 기한내에 제출하지 않은 경우에는 합격예정을 취소함
 ③ 최종합격자 발표 후라도 제출된 서류 등의 기재사항이 사실과 다르거나 응시자격 부적격 사유가 발견될 때에는
    합격을 취소 함

● 응시자격

   한국 간호사 면허를 소지한 3년제 혹은 4년제 간호대학 졸업자

● 시험시행일정 

   미국 내 50개 주, 그 외 미국의 영토권(Guam, American Samoa 등), 영국, 런던, 홍콩 등에서 면허시험에
   응시할 수 있습니다.(서울센터는 2007년 4월 이후 폐쇄.)

● 시험과목 및 시험방법

CAT(Computerized Adaptive Testing)란?
미국 간호사면허시험은 문항의 가중치가 다르고 수험생의 능력에 따라 난이도가 다른 문제를 치르는 테스트로 컴퓨터

를 사용한다.

컴퓨터 모니터로 제시되는 문제를 보면서 key를 눌러 맞춰나가는 방법이며, 합격기준 이상이 되면 프로그램은 멈추게 된다.  문항마다 부여되는 가중치는 다르며 약65%정도 이상 맞추면 합격이다. enter-space bar만 사용

CGFNS(Commission on Graduates of Foreign nursing Schools)란?
미국 이외에서 간호사 교육을 받은 외국인 간호사가 미국간호사면허시험에 응시하기 전에 치러야 하는 일종의 예비고사이다. CGFNS의 테스트는 영어와 전공 두 과목인데, 최근에는 영어시험이 Visa Screen으로 대치되었다. NCLEX-RN 이나 CGFNS는 모두 년간 4회 실시되며, 취직조건도 동일하나, NCLEX-RN 은 취업 시 영주권 신청이 가능하지만, CGFNS은 불가능하다. 리포니아, 미네소타, 뉴욕 주 등 17개 주에서는 CGFNS 합격증 없어도 RN시험에 응시 가능하다.

- 대학영문졸업증명서(2부): 여권 소지 시 여권의 영문이름(스펠링, 띄어쓰기)과 동일하게 발급
- 대학영문개명증명서(2부): 대학교 졸업 이후, 학교명이 바뀌었을 경우
- 최근 6개월 이내 여권용 사진 2장 (여권사진과 동일할 필요 없음)
- 한국간호사 면허번호

서류작성 시 기재할 내용

- 응시자의 출신학교 (초, 중, 고) 이름과 입학 및 졸업 년도
- 우편물 받을 주소 (약 2년 정도 변경계획이 없는 주소)
- 개인정보 사항 (영문이름, 생년월일, 이메일 주소, 전화번호)

서류송금

1. 송금수표 발행 (서류 전형료: Total $608)
  : 원서접수 시 필요한 전형료를 신분증과 현금을 지참하여 은행(외환계)에 가서 끊는다.
2. 공증받기 (2통: 5만 4천원)
  : 작성한 서류는 다시 한번 꼼꼼히 확인한 후, 공증을 받고 개인소유용으로 1부씩 복사해둔다.
3. 우체국 (2통: 3만 3천원)
  : EMS 우편으로 각각의 서류와 송금수표를 바뀌지 않게 확인한 후, 동봉하여 발송한다.
