Good afternoon everyone.  The Old Testament reading for our Sunday worship service will be Psalm 1:1-6 and the New Testament reading will be 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. The text for my sermon is 2 Peter 1:16-21 and the title of my sermon is "The Prophetic Word." English vocabulary for my sermon: cleverly, invented, myths, eyewitnesses, majesty, honor, glory, sacred, pleased.

안녕하세요, 교우 여러분.

오늘 주일 예배의 구약 봉독은 시편 1장 1절에서 6절이며,

신약 봉독은 고린도후서 10장 3절에서 5절입니다.

오늘 설교 본문은 베드로후서 1장 16절에서 21절이며,

설교 제목은 "예언의 말씀"입니다.

설교에 사용될 주요 영어 어휘는 다음과 같습니다:

시편 1편1~6

Psalm 1:1-6 

1 복 있는 사람은 악인들의 꾀를 따르지 아니하며 죄인들의 길에 서지 아니하며 오만한 자들의 자리에 앉지 아니하고

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,

2 오직 여호와의 율법을 즐거워하여 그의 율법을 주야로 묵상하는도다

but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.

3 그는 시냇가에 심은 나무가 철을 따라 열매를 맺으며 그 잎사귀가 마르지 아니함 같으니 그가 하는 모든 일이 다 형통하리로다

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

4 악인들은 그렇지 아니함이여 오직 바람에 나는 겨와 같도다

Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

5 그러므로 악인들은 심판을 견디지 못하며 죄인들이 의인들의 모임에 들지 못하리로다

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 무릇 의인들의 길은 여호와께서 인정하시나 악인들의 길은 망하리로다

For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

고린도후서 10장 3~5절

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 우리가 육신으로 행하나 육신에 따라 싸우지 아니하노니

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.

4 우리의 싸우는 무기는 육신에 속한 것이 아니요 오직 어떤 견고한 진도 무너뜨리는 하나님의 능력이라 모든 이론을 무너뜨리며

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

5 하나님 아는 것을 대적하여 높아진 것을 다 무너뜨리고 모든 생각을 사로잡아 그리스도에게 복종하게 하니

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

베드로후서 1장16~21절

 2 Peter 1:16-21

16 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 능력과 강림하심을 너희에게 알게 한 것이 교묘히 만든 이야기를 따른 것이 아니요 우리는 그의 크신 위엄을 친히 본 자라

For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

17 지극히 큰 영광 중에서 이러한 소리가 그에게 나기를 이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요 내 기뻐하는 자라 하실 때에 그가 하나님 아버지께 존귀와 영광을 받으셨느니라

He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

18 이 소리는 우리가 그와 함께 거룩한 산에 있을 때에 하늘로부터 난 것을 들은 것이라

We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.

19 또 우리에게는 더 확실한 예언이 있어 어두운 데를 비추는 등불과 같으니 날이 새어 샛별이 너희 마음에 떠오르기까지 너희가 이것을 주의하는 것이 옳으니라

We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

20 먼저 알 것은 성경의 모든 예언은 사사로이 풀 것이 아니니

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophetʼs own interpretation of things.

21 예언은 언제든지 사람의 뜻으로 낸 것이 아니요 오직 성령의 감동하심을 받은 사람들이 하나님께 받아 말한 것임이라

For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
