1. 어찌하여 이교도들이 격노하며 백성이 헛된 일을 꾀하는가?

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 

2. 땅의 왕들이 스스로 나서며 치리자들이 함께 의논하여 {주}와 그분의 기름 부음 받은 자를 대적하며 이르기를,

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],

3. 그들이 결박한 것을 우리가 끊고 그들이 묶은 줄을 우리에게서 내던지자, 하는도다.

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4. 하늘들에 앉으신 분께서 웃으시며 {주}께서 그들을 비웃으시리로다.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5. 그때에 그분께서 진노하사 그들에게 말씀하시고 심히 기뻐하지 아니하사 그들을 괴롭게 하시며 이르시되,

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 

6. 그럼에도 내가 이미 내 왕을 내 거룩한 산 시온에 세웠노라, 하시리로다.

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 

7. 내가 칙령을 밝히 보이리라. {주}께서 내게 이르시되, 너는 내 [아들]이라. 이 날 내가 너를 낳았도다.

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 

8. 내게 구하라. 내가 이교도들을 네게 상속물로 주고 땅의 맨 끝 지역들을 네게 소유로 주리라.

Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.

9. 네가 그들을 철장으로 부수고 토기장이의 그릇같이 산산조각 부수리라, 하셨도다.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potters vessel.

10. 그런즉, 오 왕들아, 이제 너희는 지혜로울지어다. 땅의 재판관들아, 너희는 교훈을 받을지어다.

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11. 두려움으로 {주}를 섬기고 떨며 기뻐할지어다.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12. 그 [아들]에게 입 맞추라. 그리하지 아니하면 그분께서 분노하사 그분의 진노가 조금이라도 타오를 때에 너희가

      길에서 망하리로다. 그분을 신뢰하는 자들은 다 복이 있도다.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.
