Inspiring young film makers once again with Flicks Fiesta 2017

Through Flicks Fiesta 2017, Mass Communication Department continued the legacy in providing young film makers and film enthusiasts with the opportunity to showcase their talent in international platform and at the same time recognise the achievement and talent of individuals in the filmmaking and videography field.

 Flicks Fiesta 2017은 신문방송학과 학생들에게 그들의 달란트와 국제적 플랫폼으로 가는 기회를 제공하기 위한 것이다.

This year has introduced a special award category -‘The Life Impact Award’ in memory of the late Malaysian film director, Yasmin Ahmad. This award is presented to the productions that are able to raise awareness, change perceptions and encourage appreciation towards the community.

올해는 스페셜 카테고리로 'The Life Impact Award' 로 고 말레이시안 영화감독 Yasmin Ahmad 회고전을 소개했다.

This year’s tagline, “Life-Changing, Changing Lives” will inspire young filmmakers to produce content that are able to change the lives of the general public and views towards the less fortunate community.

올해의 표어는 "Life-Changing, Changing Lives"로 젊은 영화인들에게 영감을 주기 위한 것이다.

Flicks Fiesta 2017 has received over 100 submissions locally and internationally; including submissions from Taiwan, India, Singapore, Vietnam, United Kingdom, Laos, Indonesia and Thailand.

올해는 국내는 물론 국외에서도 많은 출품작이 있었다.
