Research Associate - Korea

Macquarie Securities Korea Limited (MSK) is locally-registered company which has approximately 170 employees providing a range of services including project finance, M&A, fund sales, equity sales ａｎｄ research, capital markets ａｎｄ fundraising ａｎｄ derivatives sales ａｎｄ trading.

MSK is a full service brokerage offering a complete range of products across cash equities, delta 1 ａｎｄ structured products. MSK research analysts are offering institutional investors investment advice on more listed companies in Korea than any other international broker.

Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is one of key business unit in MSK ａｎｄ the institutional securities arm of Macquarie Group. MSG is fully committed to Asia in both research ａｎｄ distribution. MSG has more than 900 employees in Asia, including more than 300 equity research ａｎｄ sales staff covering more than 1,000 stocks in Asia. MSG has membership of 22 securities exchanges ａｎｄ distribution capabilities into all major financial centres globally.

POSITION OPEN: Full-time Research Associate (RA)

SECTOR: Constructions ａｎｄ Utilities

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
RA is eligible for sequential promotions to Junior Analyst, Analyst, Senior ｏｒ Sector Analyst ａｎｄ more. A successful candidate will be able to enjoy fast-learning, industry insights, dynamic ａｎｄ active work environment, mentoring by senior analyst, self-fulfilment in polishing career skills, ａｎｄ the opportunity to advance in the highly competitive financial industry.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS:
RAs are responsible for assisting the sector analysts in gathering market ａｎｄ company-specific data ａｎｄ information, putting them into database, carrying out some preliminary analyses, updating certain aspects of financial models, updating industry statistics, checking industry news ａｎｄ drafting research reports, among others.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Solid analytical ａｎｄ quantitative skills;

2) Strong logical thinking capabilities with creativeness ａｎｄ resourcefulness;
3) Bilingual in both Korean ａｎｄ English (not necessarily a native);
4) Effective oral ａｎｄ written communication skills;
5) Bachelor's ｏｒ Master's degree, preferably in accounting, finance ｏｒ economics

6) 1-2 year relevant experience required;
7) Proven work ethic including punctuality ａｎｄ commitment to the job;
8) Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.);
9) Good understanding of accounting ａｎｄ equity (stock) markets;
