Galatée, 2023 (Lady Stardust series)
Portrait of Ashley, 2020 (Modern Royals series)
Carol, 2016 (All Star series)
Here, the artist explores the world of comics. The figures, who seem to live in a closed world, find light only through the fictive glow of comics: the spark of a gaze, reflections, the glint of a dagger, white smoke from explosives. The spiralling composition of the comics depicts the circular, obsessive character of the mental world in which these characters live
Ananké, 2015 (Super Models series)
Lady Stripes, 2017 (Painted Ladies series)
Painted Ladies comprises eight large-format black-and-white photographs of agency models, chosen as raw material for the laboratory process that followed. The models’ faces are simply supports here, reduced to mere surface. The pose is neutral and the gaze absent, focusing on each woman’s inner life
Michael Jackson #4, 2003 (Michael Jackson series)
Untitled, 2007 (Lido series)
Beltline Burgers, Atlanta, 2019 (Reflection series)
In the Reflection series, captured images ‘projected’ on to the photosensitive surface of a screen do not disappear but accumulate. The photographic paper keeps a trace of these images, which appear as a phantom of the window’s photographed landscape
