Chinese New Year at SCIPS

On 13th February, our entire school community came together in a joyful celebration of the Lunar New Year. The day was filled with colour, culture, and excitement, featuring wonderful performances by our talented students and supportive parents, as well as our much-anticipated annual lion and dragon dance. This year, we were also captivated by a spectacular Bian Lian (Chinese mask-changing) performance and delighted by a special appearance from the God of Prosperity, spreading blessings and cheer throughout the school.

Our students also paired up with their buddy classes to take part in a variety of cultural activities, including calligraphy, blow art, horse tag, and even showcasing their chopstick skills. Laughter, learning, and celebration went hand in hand, making it a truly memorable occasion for all. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated Chinese language teachers for their tremendous effort in coordinating such a meaningful and vibrant event.

As we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse, we wish everyone a joyous Lunar New Year. May the year ahead bring abundant health, happiness, and prosperity to all.

2월 13일, 우리 학교 공동체 전체가 함께 모여 즐거운 설날을 보냈습니다. 재능 있는 학생들과 응원하는 학부모들의 멋진 공연은 물론 매년 기대에 부응하는 사자춤과 용춤이 펼쳐지며 색과 문화, 흥으로 가득 찬 하루였습니다. 올해도 화려한 비안리안 공연에 매료되었고, 번영의 신의 특별한 등장에 기뻐하며 학교 전체에 축복과 환호를 전했습니다.
또한 학생들은 버디 반과 짝을 이루어 서예, 블로우 아트, 말표, 젓가락 기술 소개 등 다양한 문화 활동에 참여했습니다. 웃음, 배움, 축하가 함께 어우러져 모두에게 정말 기억에 남는 행사가 되었습니다. 뜻 깊고 활기찬 행사를 기획해 주신 헌신적인 중국어 선생님들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
