Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title,
"Condemnation and Judgment."
At dawn Jesus appeared in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around Him, and He sat down to teach them.
Suddenly, the teacher of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman;
her shoes were removed and her clothes and hair were disheveled and in disarray.
They threw her to the ground before Jesus and imposingly said to Him.
"Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women, Now what do you say?"
They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing Him.
It was because they already knew that Jesus would not kill her.
If Jesus would try to save her life against the Law of Moses,
they were determined to mock Him and persecute Him saying,
You are not sent from Heaven. You have a wrong faith!"
As the Israelites firmly believed that the Law of Moses must be kept
because it was given by God, if Jesus had violated it,
they would have proved that He could not be a Savior.
