뭍 나온 인어아씨, 꿀 먹은 침묵소리
숨참는 아픈 다리, 어색한 걸음거리
마음을 쏟아내는 눈, 물먹은 눈 거두리!

처음에도 마지막도 있던 건 타는 심장!
모두가 손쉽사리 자신만 다독일 때
그대는 가시의 길에 여윈 몸을 맡겼나!

길 가의 여린 풀에 쏟아진 진주 눈물
처음부터 쉽지 않게 시작한 마음앓이
이제는 넓은 바다에 물거품이 되누나!


The Silent Heart
A mermaid out of water, silence choked with sweetness,
Breathless, aching legs, and steps of heavy awkwardness,
Eyes that pour the soul out—dry those water-laden eyes!
From the first breath to the last, a burning heart alone,
While others gently soothe themselves so easily, at home,
Did you lean your withered frame against the path of thorns?
Pearl-like tears spilled down upon the frail grass by the way,
A heartache born in hardship from the very starting day,
Now on the wide and open sea, it blooms as forever foam!

Forever in the Foam
A mermaid stranded ashore, her silence thick as honey,
Holding her breath on painful legs, walking so unsteadily,
Wipe away the heavy tears from eyes that spill her soul.

From beginning to end, only the burning heart remained,
While everyone else so easily comforted their own pain,
You threw your fragile body onto a path of sharp thorns.

Pearl tears poured down on the tender grass by the side,
A bitter heartache that was never easy from the start,
Now it turns into seafoam, living forever in the vast ocean.
