Now, friends, read these next words /carefully. 

Slow down and don’t go jumping to conclusions

/regarding the day //when our Master, Jesus Christ, will come back and we assemble /to welcome him.

Don’t let anyone shake you up or get you excited over some breathless report or rumored letter from me

that the day of the Master’s arrival has come and gone.

Don’t fall for any line like that.

* slow down ; lose velocity; move more slowly.

* jump to conclusions ... to guess the facts about a situation without having enough information:

Slow down 진정하시고 and don’t go 가지 마라 jumping to conclusions 결론 도약으로/속단으로

/regarding the day 그날에 관해 //when our Master, Jesus Christ 주님께서, will come back 부활하실 날

and we 우리가 assemble 집합하는 날 /to welcome him 주님을 환영하려.

Don’t let 하게 마라 anyone 아무도 shake 뒤흔들게 you up 너를 or get 부추겨서 you 너를 excited 흥분하게 

over some breathless report 어떤 긴박한 보고에 or 또는 rumored letter 소문만 무성한 편지에 from me 내게서 왔다는

that 그 내용은 the day of the Master’s arrival 주님의 도착 날이 has come 이미 왔다가 and gone 갔다는.

Don’t fall for 속지 말라 any line 어떤 편지에도 like that 그런 식의.

Before that day comes, a couple of things have to happen. 

First, the Apostasy. 

Second, the debut of the Anarchist, a partner in crime with Satan. 

He’ll defy and then take over every so-called god or altar. 

Having cleared away the opposition, he’ll then set himself up in God’s Temple as “God Almighty.” 

Don’t you remember me /going over all this in detail /when I was with you?

Are your memories that short?

* a·pos·ta·sy /əˈpästəsē/ 어 파스터시 ; the abandonment or renunciation of a religious or political belief. 배도

* take over ; to begin to have control of or responsibility for something, especially in place of somebody else.

Before that day comes 그날이 오기 전에, a couple of things 한두 가지 일이  have to happen 일어나야 한다. 

First 먼저, the Apostasy 배교이고. 

Second 그다음, the debut of the Anarchist 무법자의 출현이다, a partner 동업자인 in crime 범죄에서 

with Satan 사탄과. 

He’ll defy 복종을 거부할 것이고 and then take over 차지할 것이다 every 모든 so-called 소위 god 신 or 또는 altar 제단을. 

Having cleared away 청소/제거한  후 the opposition 반대자들을, he’ll then set 세울 것이다 himself up 자신을

when I 내가 was with you 너희와 있을 때?

You’ll also remember that I told you () the Anarchist is being held back /until just the right time.

That doesn’t mean that the spirit of anarchy is not now at work.

It is, secretly and underground.

the Anarchist 적 그리스도가 is being held back 붙잡혀 있다는 것 /until just the right time 적당한 때까지.

That 그것은 doesn’t mean 의미하지 않는다 that절 내용을 즉 the spirit of anarchy 무법자의 영이 is not now 지금

at work 일에 관여하지 않는다는 것을.

It 그것이 is 관여하고 있고말고, secretly 비밀리에 and underground 지하에/숨어서.

But the time will come when the Anarchist will no longer be held back, but will be let loose.

But don’t worry.

The Master Jesus will be right on his heels and blow him away.

The Master appears and—puff!—the Anarchist is out of there.

But don’t worry 걱정하지는 마라.

The Master Jesus 주님께서 will be right on his heels 뒤에 바짝 따라오셔서 and blow him away 그를 날려 버릴 것이다.

The Master 주께서 appears 나타나셔서 and—puff 훅 불면!

—the Anarchist 적 그리스도는 is out of there 거기서 나간다/꺼진다.

9-12 
The Anarchist’s coming is all Satan’s work. 

All his power and signs and miracles are fake, evil sleight of hand

//that plays to the gallery of those //who hate [the truth that could save them].

And since they’re so obsessed with evil,

God rubs their noses in it—gives them [what they want].

Since they refuse to trust truth,

they’re banished /to their chosen world of lies and illusions.

Since they refuse 거부하기에 to trust truth 진리를 신뢰하기를, they’re banished 사라지게 된다

/to their chosen world 자기들이 선택한 세상으로 of lies 거짓과 and illusions 환상의.

* 거짓과 환상의 세계가 좋을 것 같아 보여도 실제로는 마치 악몽과도 같아서

  목말라서 물을 먹어도 갈증이 안 가시고 먹어도 배 고프고 더워서 부채를 부쳐도 여전히 덥고

  추워서 솜이불을 덮어도 여전히 춥고 앞뒤도 안 맞는 두루뭉수리 꿈에는 거짓과 환상뿐이라

  현실/실제/진리란 그림자도 없는 때문에 끝도 없는 불만/불행의 연속이기 때문이다

13-14 
Meanwhile, we’ve got our hands full /continually thanking God for you,

our good friends—so loved by God! 

God picked you out /as his /from the very start.

* have (got) your hands full : to be very busy or involved with something:

* get in on ; become involved in a profitable or exciting activity.

God 하나님께서 picked 선택하셨다 you out 너를 /as his 그분의 것으로 /from the very start 시작부터/애초에.

Think of it: included in God’s original plan of salvation by the bond of faith in the living truth.

This is the life of the Spirit () he invited you to /through the Message () we delivered,

in which you get in /on the glory of our Master, Jesus Christ.

in which 그것에서 you 너희는 get in 들어간다/관련된다 /on the glory 영광에 of our Master, Jesus Christ 주님의.

 

15-17 
So, friends, take a firm stand, feet on the ground and head high. 

Keep a tight grip /on what you were taught, whether in personal conversation or by our letter.

May Jesus himself and God our Father,

who reached out in love and surprised you with gifts of unending help and confidence,

put a fresh heart in you, invigorate your work, enliven your speech.

enliven 호소력 있게 하셨다 your speech 너의 말/언변을.
