After nearly seven years of not talking to each other,
Elton John and
George Michael have ended their feud.
The two singers, who were very close in the 1980s, hit a roadblock in 2004 when John had said that Michael was “in a strange place” because of his marijuana addiction.
After that, the two went years without talking to each other. However, the feud between them was very public.
At one point, while Michael was on stage, he told John to “shut his mouth and get on with his own life.”
But things changed between the former enemies when both of the superstars performed live together at Elton’s AIDS fund-raiser, White Tie and Tiara Ball, this week.
According to M&C, John introduced Michael to join him in singing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” the song that they performed at the 1985 Live Aid.
“Everyone went mad. It was a special moment,” said a guest who witnessed the performance.
Outside of that performance, the pair are getting together just fine.
A friend told the Daily Mail, “They have been seeing each other quite a lot. The feud is finally over. George and Elton are getting on brilliantly again and everybody is thrilled.”
