✝️ The WYD symbols found their way into the arms of young people in uniform.
The fourth diocese in Korea to receive the WYD symbols was the Military Ordinariate of Korea. From April 22 to May 6, the symbols made their pilgrimage through the major churches of the ordinariate, including the Cathedral of Armed Forces Central and the Holy Trinity Church in Gyeryong.
Notably, from April 28 to 30, the 2nd Military Ordinariate Youth Day was held, gathering over 600 soldier-faithful from bases across the country, with the WYD Cross and the Icon of Vierge Mary placed at the heart of the gathering.
The Military Ordinariate of Korea is the diocese entrusted with the spiritual care of the entire Korean Armed Forces — the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. It is also a cradle of faith, where every year around ten thousand young people seek the Lord and receive baptism during their military service. These young people, who bear arms for their country and dedicate themselves to peace, are already marching as pilgrims within their bases — toward the World Youth Day Seoul 2027. 🪖
