in/inside(공간 ~안에) : Put it in the cupboard. 그것을 찬장에 넣어라.

on (접촉하여 ~위에) : There is a fly on the ceiling. 천장에 파리 한 마리가 있다.

at (좁은 장소 ~에) : He stood at the top of the mountain. 그는 산 정상에 서 있었다.

near(~ 부근에) : I live near the school. 난 학교 근처에 산다.

under(접촉하여 ~아래) : The boat passed under the bridge. 보트가 다리 밑을 지나갔다.

over(보다 높이 떨어져 ~위에) : There is a bridge over the river. 강위에 다리가 놓여 있다.

below(~아래) : Write your name below the line. 선 아래에 이름을 써라.

above (사물에 접하지 않고 ~위에) A kite is flying above the tree. 연이 나무 위에서 날고 있다.

round/around(정지/운동 ~주위를) The earth goes round the sun. 지구가 태양 주위를 돈다.                                                                  = around

in Front of (정면 ~앞에) : The car is in front of the truck. 승용차가 트럭 앞에 있다.

along(~을(쭉) 따라) : They walked slowly along the road. 그들은 길을 따라 천천히 걸었다

across(~을 가로질러) : There's a grocery store across the way. 길 건너편에 생필품 가게가 있다.

up(운동을 동반하여 ~위로) : He jumped up from his chair. 그가 의자에서 벌떡 일어섰다.

down(운동을 동반하여 ~아래로) : He looked down at her. 그가 그녀를 내려다보았다

opposite(~의 맞은편에) : There is a school opposite my house. 우리 집 맞은편에 학교가 있다.

towards(단순한 운동 방향 ~쪽으로) : We ran toward the river. 우리는 강을 향하여 달렸다.

to(도착 지점 ~에) : He went to town. 그는 마을에 갔다.
