I
In the rice fields after planting time
The Moon descends in silver shine at night
Gently checking each new sprout
The Moon makes sure they’re all right
Frogs ride on the Moon and croak with pride
croak croak croak croak
She's mine, she's mine, crying loudly
That's impossible!
I belong to all, belong to everything
The Moon moves away with grace
Carefully looking at each rice field
The Moon bids goodbye
Sadly leaving frogs to wonder
Where’s the Moon who lit our way
Simply wondering Frogs croak
croak croak croak croak
II
To the deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds
The Mountain offers, without words
Plenty of food to share around
To the trees, rocks, grass, and flowers
The Mountain grants, resting hours
A peaceful place where they are found
Clouds with tired legs
On the Mountain, resting from their flight
Those who visit, one and all
From the Mountain, receiving a warm and friendly call
Appreciation Review 感想
This charming children's poem explores the gentle and nurturing qualities of the moon and the mountain.
The first part portrays the moon as a guardian of the rice fields, with humorous imagery like frogs riding on the moon.
The second part shifts to the mountain, highlighting its role as a haven for animals and plants.
With its soothing tone and rhythmic repetition, the poem beautifully emphasizes themes of care, community, and the quiet splendor of nature, which makes it an ideal read for children.
