Seeing is believing

Once we are doing for something good, especially for the church, for the people, for the society, people see it automatically.

What is that mean, seeing is believing. Once they believe in us what we are doing, they tend to have minds to help us, to pray for us, that is a natural as a human being.

So, first, they need to see it, of course, hearing is from the third person, that’s better than nothing. But definitely No proud, No boast at all. See the Dr. Melvin. He had shown us many things, especially through the LPMI Network News. He wrote wonderful articles for nearly 25 years, but never shown us his own proud to us.

That's why Melvin stressed me to make "Newsletter" in the very beginning of this ministry. And I follow his advice last twenty years, MONTHLY newsletter. I found that I made it in the beginning, but soon later the NEWSLETTER led our ministry. That's fascinating phenomenon, but was true.

Showing people what we are doing is indispensable, unavoidable, and further necessary for the success of ministry.

Without seeing or hearing, they could not help us. They are not motivated at all. That is why communication is important as PACE manual taught, in times of weak, also in times of strength as well.

To mission-possible that was given by God, we need many people to be fan for that mission. That is true and unchangeable strategy. So let them know as much as we can for the single goal, “to glory to God” in this earth through the success in ministry.

(보는 것은 믿는 것이다)

일단 우리가 좋은 것을 위해, 특히 교회, 사람들을 위해, 사회를 위해 사역하면 사람들은 그것을 자동적으로 보게 된다.

이게 무슨 뜻인가, 보는 것은 믿는 것이다. 일단 그들이 우리가 하는 일을 보고 믿으면, 그들은 우리를 돕고, 우리를 위해 기도하는 마음을 가지는 경향이 있다. 그것은 인간으로서 자연스러운 일이다.

그래서 우선, 그들은 우리가 하는 것을 볼 필요가 있다. 물론, 제3자에게서 들을 수도 있는데, 안 듣는 것보다는 낫다. 그렇다고 우리가 자랑할 필요는 없지만 알릴 필요는 있다. 멜빈박사를 보라. 그는 특히 LPMI 네트워크 뉴스레터를 통해 우리에게 많은 것을 보여주었다. 그는 거의 25년 동안 훌륭한 기사를 썼지만, 결코 우리에게 자랑하지 않았다. 그냥 써서 알리는 것이었다.

그래서 멜빈목사님이 나의 사역의 초기에 “뉴스레터를 만들라“고 강조한 것이다. 그리고 나는 지난 20년 동안 월간 뉴스레터를 만들면서 그의 충고를 따랐다. 처음에는 내가 만든다고 생각했지만, 곧 그 뉴스레터가 우리 사역을 이끌어 간다는 것을 알았다. 그것은 이상한 현상 같았지만 사실이었다.

사람들에게 우리가 하고 있는 것을 보여주는 것은, 사역의 성공을 위해 필수적이고, 피할 수 없는 것이며, 더 나아가 필요한 것이다.

그들은 보거나 듣지 않고서는 우리를 도울 수 없었다. 듣고 보지 않으면 그들은 전혀 의욕을 가질 수가 없다.

하나님이 주신 미션을 완수하기 위해, 우리는 그 미션을 위한 팬이 될 많은 사람들이 필요하다. 그것은 사실이고 바꿀 수 없는 전략이다. 그러니 사역의 성공을 통해 이 땅에서 '하나님께 영광을 돌린다.'는 단 하나의 목표를 위해 우리가 할 수 있는 한 많은 것을 그들에게 알릴 필요가 있다.
