번역은 제가 한 것이 아니고 퍼온 것입니다. https://www.who.int/dg/speeches/detail/who-director-general-s-remarks-support-group-for-global-infectious-disease-response-(g4idr) Your Excellency, Foreign Minister Kang,  강경화 장관 각하, Your Excellency, Ambassador Paik,  백지아 대사 각하, Excellencies, colleagues and friends, 그 외 귀빈, 동료 여러분,   It is an honor to join you today for the launch of the Support Group for Global Infectious Disease Response. 오늘 국제 감염병 대응 지원단 (G4IDR)의 창립에 함께하게 되어 영광입니다.   It is no accident that the Government of the Republic of Korea is establishing this initiative.  대한민국 정부가 이 이니셔티브의 창립을 추진하게 된 것은 우연이 아닙니다.     Korea's expertise and appreciation of the need to fight infectious diseases is well-established, drawn on hard-won experience and knowledge from outbreaks past.  과거 감염병의 확산 대응에서 보여준 경험과 지식에 비춰 봤을 때, 한국이 방역에 있어 필요한 경각심과 전문성을 갖췄다는 것은 널리 알려져 있습니다.     Korea has been an innovator through its establishment of the “Global Disease Eradication Fund" a mechanism designed to help fund the fight against infectious disease. 또한, “국제 질병 퇴치 기금”을 창설하는 등 한국은  감염병 퇴치를 위한 획기적인 메카니즘을 주도해 왔습니다.     Korea has also been a leader and an example of best practice in its management of the COVID-19 pandemic, with its timely response, use of widespread testing and creative use of technology. 더불어, 한국은 코비드19 대응에 있어서 신속한 대응, 광범위한 진단 검사와 창의적인 기술의 적용을 통해서 리더이자 훌륭한 모범이 되었습니다.     In its information sharing, including through global webinars to share public health insights, Korea has shown a generous desire to reach out to others. 적극적인 정보 공유를 위하셔 국제 웹 세미나를 통해서 발표된 공중 보건 분야의 통찰력은, 모두를 돕고자 하는 한국의 선의를 보여주었습니다.     This is solidarity in action.  이제는 하나된 행동을 할 때입니다.   And that is why this new initiative is so important – as my brother Jim Kim often says, we need to break the cycle of panic and neglect.  그렇기 때문에 오늘 이 그룹의 창설이 그토록 중요한 것입니다.  저의 친구 짐 킴씨가 입버릇처럼 말하듯, 우리는 패닉과 무관심의 악순환을 끊어야 합니다.   Now more than ever, countries must come together to exchange lessons learned and to offer mutual support.  어느 때보다도 모든 나라들은 힘을 모아서 교훈을 공유하고 상호간 지원을 해야 합니다.    This initiative is an example of the multilateral cooperation between nations that is crucial as we take on this pandemic and build more resilient health systems going forward.  본 그룹은 우리가 겪고 있는 판데믹 속에서 더욱 굳건한 의료 체계를 갖추는 데 필수적인 다국적 협력의 훌륭한 예제입니다.     I hope that G4IDR can play a catalytic role. G4IDR이 중요한 역할을 하도록 기원합니다.   You will have the support of WHO for this initiative as you pursue your collective goals.  G4IDR이 우리 모두의 목표를 위해서 노력을 경주할 때에 WHO가 지원을  할 것을 약속드립니다.   We are happy to do so alongside Korea’s International Vaccine Institute and our partner agencies GAVI, the Global Fund, Unitaid, Stop TB, and IVI.    한국의 국제백신연구소 및 협력 기관인 GAVI, 국제 기금, Unitaid, Stop TB 역시 우리와 함께 지원할 것입니다.   As I have said many times, it is only through such solidarity and mutual support that we will beat the COVID-19 pandemic, and be better prepared for other threats in the future. 제가 여러번 말씀드린 대로, 하나된 행동과 상호 지원을 통해서만 코비드19 판데믹과의 싸움에서 승리를 거둘 것이며, 미래의 다른 위협에도 더 잘 대응할 수 있을 것입니다.   In doing this we can move forward to achieve universal health coverage and the health targets of the Sustainable Development Goals. 이렇게 함으로서 우리는 의료 관련 지속가능 개발 목표 및 범인류적 의료 지원을 이룩하는 데 한걸음 더 다가갈 것입니다.   I thank you.  감사합니다.
