첫댓글 내용이 현실주의론에 기우는 것 같아 현실주의론으로 풀어 의견을 적자면, 국력차가 넘사벽급으로 차이가 나는 만큼 중미간 긴장은 패권교체기로 들어갈 가능성이 극도로 낮고, 패권교체기로 들어가지 않는 만큼 중국과 미국 간 무조건 편을 나눠야 (또는, 미국편을 무조건 들어줘야) 생존할 수 있다고 여러 나라들이 믿게 되는 세계는 올 수 없습니다.
애초에 중국이 패권도전국으로 미국 질서에 도전하고 있다는 미국 정치학자들 내 시각이 비현실적이라는 비판이 제도주의는 물론 현실주의 내에서도 2000년대 초부터 있어왔고... 최근 중국의 일대일로 등의 노선도 미국에 대한 도전이 아닌 자유진영 질서로부터 중국의 결속을 유지할 수 있는 다분히 방어적인 대응이라는 분석이 더 신빙성 있어보입니다.
간단히 말해 참으로 재미나지만 지극히 쉰 떡밥이라는 말을 좀 길게 풀어 썼습니다(...)
중국이 미국과 무력충돌을 일으킬만한 상황은 뭐 한반도 같은 곳에서 우방 간 분쟁에 휘말려 개입하는 우발적 충돌의 경우인데, 여기서도 과연 중국이 미국을 등에 업고 민족의 숙원사업을 완수하려는 (그것도 본인들이 전략적 동반자라 여기는) 대한민국과 엘리전을 벌일 각오를 할지는 좀...
패권국의 요건을 갖추고 있는 나라도 아니고, 중장기의 전략노선이 패권쟁취에 맞춰진 나라가 아닌 나라가 왠지 패권국으로 여겨지며 투키디데스의 함정이니, 해양세력 대 대륙세력간 대결이니 뭐니 하며 긴장을 불어넣는 이유는 아마 정치적인 이유에서 찾아야 하지않나 생각합니다.
국력 차이가 나더라도 그런 현상을 바꾸기 위해 중국이 지금과 같이 남중국해 대만등에서 최근 행보를 보인것처럼 계속 시도 되고 그게 더 노골적이게 된다면 시도 되겠죠. 총력전 연구소 같은거까지 만든 일제부터 많은 국가들의 수뇌부가 항상 이성적으로 판단을 한건 아니니까요. 대한민국이랑 엘리전이 아니라 최종적으로는 미국 그리고 미국 동맹국들에 대해 이전 도전국들이 했던것처럼 공세를 할 가능성은 높지는 않겠지만 이전 중국 정권들에 비해서는 조금씩 높아지고 있는것도 사실이고요.
@이제동 중국의 행동을 수정주의적, 도전적으로 해석하는 행보에 대한 비판은 이미 Kopper and Peragovics (2016...이었던가?)가 관점과 상황의도의 시각으로 한 바 있습니다. 그보다 전엔 2005년에 Johnston도 지극히 미국중심적 시각이라 지나가며 깐 적 있고요. 대충 요약하자면 중국이 도전적으로 보이는 이유는 중국의 실제 의도와는 전혀 다르게 우리가 중국을 수정주의 국가라고 단정하기 때문이라는 내용.
왜 삼인성호란 말이 있잖아요. 믿는대로 보이는거에요. Stein 등이 욤키푸르 전쟁 발발을 통해 주장하듯 오히려 눈에 보이는 것보다 각각의 믿음을 통해 그 모양새를 해석하는 우리의 자세가 훨씬 더 전쟁을 불러일으킬 가능성이 높습니다.
애초에 우리의 이득은 전혀 고려하지 않은 채 미국발 패권주의적 시각에 경도돼야 하는지도 굉장히 의문스럽습니다. 물론 저도 지금 지극히 미국시각에서 판을 논하고 있긴 합니다만...ㅋㅋ
@돈데기리 문제는 중국은 큰 나라라는것이죠. 미국보다야 많이 약하다고 하지만 그게 일개 소국들과 비교될 것은 아니고, 자신의 정당한 영역을 확보하고 국익을 지킨다는 그 행위가 충분히 정세에 파장을 일으킬 수준이 된다는것인게 문제죠. 캐나다의 역대급 수상중 하나인 피에르 트뤼도가 미국이란 코끼리가 옆에서 어슬렁 거리면 어쩔수 없이 영향을 받는다고 하였듯.
@이제동 고 부분은 어디 캄보디아, 네팔 이런데가 걱정할 부분이지, 경제규모 10위권의 빛나는 맥도날드 분점이 걱정할 부분은 아닌거 같습니다 ㅎㅅㅎ;
@돈데기리 현대 중국이 옛 한-당과 같이 한반도를 들었다 놓았다 할 수준은 아니긴 합니다만 작정하고 붙으면 한국이 타격을 많이 받을순 있겠죠.
남중국해에서 벌이는 행동들 보면 영락없는 확장기 미국모습이던데..
나만 그렇게 생각하려나요.
중국 예외주의에 대한 담론 필요한게 아닌가 싶지만 곱씹어보면 모든 국가들이 예외주의에 속할수도 있네요
