1. The Phonetic Codes

The underlined syllables of phonetic codes should be pronounced as an emphatic tone.

2. The Morse Codes

A dot is used as the unit of duration.
A dash(-) is equal to three(3) times the duration of the dot.
An element is ether a dot or a dash.
The space (silence) between elements is one unit. The space between letters is three(3) units. The space between words is seven (7) units.
These are dependant on WPM(words per minutes).
You should transmit at the speed you able to copy accurately.

3. The Semaphore Signals

3.1 The Calling Signals

The calling station send the calling signal "K1" to communicate with other stations. It may be made by any method of signaling.

3.2 The Answering Signals

When the answering station received the calling signal from the calling station, the answering station send the answering signal "T" to the called station. If it could not be made by the semaphore signals, the answering station should send the massage "YSZ" by any possible method of signaling.

3.3 The Ending Signals

The communications are ended by the ending signal "AR".

4. The Flag Signals

The flags of the International Code of Signals, although they represent the alphabet, are not normally used for English-language text. Instead, they are used either to give the call letters of a ship, which are allocated internationally by subdividing the alphabet in much the same way as is used for radio stations, and which are four or five letters long, or for indicating code words in the International Code of Signals.

H	Hotel				I have a pilot on board.
I	India				I am altering my course to port.
J	Juliet				I am on fire and have a dangerous cargo on board ; Keep well clear of me.
K	Kilo				I wish to communicate with you.
L	Lima				You should stop your vessel instantly.
M	Mike				My vessel is stopped and making no way through the water.
N	November				No (negative or "The significance of the previous group should be read in the negative")
O	Oscar				Man overboard.
P	Papa				In harbor : All persons should report on board as the vessel is about to proceed to sea. (Fishing vessels at sea : "My nets have come fast upon an obstruction.")
Q	Quebec				My vessel is 'healthy' and I request free pratique.
R	Romeo
S	Sierra				My engines are going astern.
T	Tango				Keep clear of me ; I am engaged in pair trawling.
U	Uniform				You are running into danger.
V	Victor				I require assistance.
W	Whiskey				I require medical assistance.
X	X-ray				Stop carrying out your intentions and watch for my signals.
