Planting Two Seeds at a Time
By D.J. YOON
My Grandpa works in fields so wide
Planting seeds with care and pride
Dropping two seeds in each hole.
Why two seeds and not just one?
If planted close together
They'll grow better
Pushing up, reaching high and stretching toward the sky.
If put close together
They’ll grow better
Pushing or pulling each other.
Stronger plants as you see
Growing tall as big as can be.
Appreciation Review 感想
"Two Seeds" is a delightful children's poem which explores the wisdom of planting two seeds rather than one, offering a valuable life lesson through a conversation between an inquisitive child and his Grandpa.
The poem warmly illustrates how planting two seeds in each hole encourages them to support and compete with each other, resulting in quicker and larger growth.
It's a simple yet meaningful message about cooperation and mutual benefit in nature, presented in clear language with a rhythmic flow that ignites the imagination.
This not only entertains young readers but also educates them about teamwork and the wonders of the natural world in an enchanting manner.
