Grade 11 art students visited Wei Ling Gallery

Grade 11 art students visited Wei Ling Gallery to explore the A Colloquy exhibition, featuring eight artists incorporating text and font into their work. The artworks address real-world issues such as race and political topics. Students spoke with a gallery guide to understand the literal and conceptual meanings and how the works were curated. Experiencing art in person is vital to the DP Arts course, deepening students’ learning beyond the classroom.

11학년 미술 학생들은 웨이링 갤러리를 방문하여 텍스트와 글꼴을 작품에 접목한 8명의 작가가 참여하는 '아 콜로키' 전시회를 관람했습니다. 이 작품들은 인종과 정치적 주제와 같은 현실 세계의 문제를 다룹니다. 학생들은 갤러리 가이드와 이야기를 나누며 문자 그대로와 개념적 의미, 작품이 어떻게 큐레이팅되었는지 이해했습니다. 미술을 직접 경험하는 것은 DP 아트 과정에서 매우 중요하며, 교실을 넘어 학생들의 학습을 심화시킵니다.
