The Eco-School Club has recently started investigating the impact of the solar panels installed on the AHIS campus. Solar panels were introduced to the AHIS campus in March 2023. These panels harness renewable solar energy, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and lessen our environmental footprint.

The results so far have been impressive! A comparison of our school’s electricity bills from 2022 and 2023 reveals that the energy consumption, measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh), has decreased by an incredible 32% thanks to the solar panels. This reduction has also translated into significant savings, with the total electric bill dropping by about 30%.

We are proud of these early achievements and believe this is just the beginning. By embracing solar energy, our AHIS community is taking meaningful steps toward sustainability. As we continue to monitor and optimize energy use, we encourage everyone in the AHIS community to join the effort in saving energy and protecting our planet. Together, we can make a meaningful impact.
