어제 "오늘의 영어 성경 말씀"을 오늘에서야 올렸습니다. 같이 살펴보시기 바랍니다.

  For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.     —1 Corinthians 3:11

  아무도 이미 놓은 기초이신 예수 그리스도 밖에 또 다른 기초를 놓을 수 없습니다.     —고린도전서 3:11

  2. Thoughts on Today's Verse

  There is only one foundation 1)on which the Church and the Christian life can be built. That foundation is Jesus Christ

(cf. 1 Peter 2:4-7; Ephesians 2:20). He is the one whom God sent to save us (John 3:16). He is "the way, the truth, and the life," the only way to God (John 14:6). The Lord Jesus Christ is the name 2)above all names, the name 3)at which every

knee will bow (Philippians 2:5-11). His is the only name 4)by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Let's 5)take time today to 6)specifically honor Jesus as Lord with our hearts, our words, and our actions.

  교회와 기독교인의 삶을 지을 수 있는 토대는 단 하나뿐입니다. 예수그리스도 뿐입니다(베드로전서 2:4-7, 에베소서 2:20 참고). 하나님께서 우리를 구하시려고 보내신 분입니다(요한복음 3:16) . 그분은 "길이요, 진리요, 생명"이며 하나님께로 가는 유일한 길입니다(요한복음 14:6). 주(Lord) 예수 그리스도의 이름은 모든 이름 위에 있으며 그 이름 앞에 모든 무릎들이 꿇을 것입니다. (빌립보서 2:5-11) 우리가 구원받을 때 사용할 수 있는 유일한 이름입니다 (사도행전 4:12). 우리의 마음, 말, 행동으로써 특별히 예수님을 주님(Lord)으로 자랑하는 시간을 오늘 가지도록 합시다.

 Lord Jesus, your name is above every other name that has ever been named. Your glory 1)extends back beyond creation and will 2)endure after the light from every 3)sun has been 4)extinguished. Your sacrificial love that saved me is awesome and 5)beyond compare. Please receive my 6)heartfelt 7)adoration and praise. 8)To you belong all glory, majesty, power,

   - someday는 보통 미래의 「어느 날」을 가리키고 one day는 보통 과거의 「어느 날」을 가리키지만 미래일 때도사용 가능함
