It is with deep sadness that we hear of the passing of our former governor, Andrew Barber, at his home yesterday evening, surrounded by his family.

Andrew and his wife, Caroline, have two daughters who both attended Alice Smith School. Andrew served as a Governor from 1st February 2007 until 21st January 2011 including as Chair and the entire family made significant contributions to the Alice Smith community.

Andrew was a man of many talents - kind and considerate, intelligent and always curious, a loving and proud family man who adored his daughters. Our deepest condolences to the Barber family.
