  1. Verse of the Day

  "And I will put 1)enmity between you and the woman, and between your 2)offspring and hers; he will 3)crush your head, and you will strike his heel."     —Genesis 3:15

  내가 너로 여자와 원수가 되게 하고, 너의 자손을 여자의 자손과 원수가 되게 하겠다. 여자의 자손은 너의 머리를 상하게 하고, 너는 여자의 자손의 발꿈치를 상하게 할 것이다."     —창세기 3:15

   - offspring : (사람·동물의) 자식; 자손; (짐승의) 새끼

  2. Thoughts on Today's Verse

This is God's 1)curse upon the 2)serpent who tempted Eve and Adam to sin. Satan is the 3)personality behind the serpent. Even in this curse, even in the 4)recognition of a struggle between the woman's offspring and Satan, God 5)embeds his

promise for our better future. In Jesus, that future comes! Satan appears to win the battle at the Cross, but the 6)passage of three days changes everything. Jesus' triumph over death leaves him with only a "7)bruised heel," 8)but leaves Satan

powerless to make death the final word. 9)The Evil One's best plans and greatest power 10)lie crushed at the doorway of

Jesus' empty tomb!

이 부분은 이브와 아담을 유혹하여 죄를 짓게 만든 뱀에게, 하나님께서 내리신 저주입니다. 여기서 사탄은 뱀 배후의 인격체입니다. 이런 저주에도 불구하고, 또한 사탄과 여자의 자손과의 싸움을 알고 계셨음에도, 하나님께서는 우리의 더 좋은 미래를 위해 그분의 약속을 심어놓으셨습니다. 이런 미래는 예수 안에서 가능합니다! 사탄은 십자가의 싸움에서 이긴 것처럼 보였지만, 사흘이 지나면서 모든 것이 바뀌었습니다. 예수님께서 죽음을 이기시는 과정에서 겨우 "발꿈치가 다치는 정도의" 상처를 받으신 반면, 예수의 죽음을 마지막 결말로 만들려던 사탄은 무력화되었습니다. 이 사악한 자의 가장 좋은 계획과 가장 강력한 힘은 예수님의 빈 무덤 앞에서 무너져 내렸습니다!

  Thank you, dear Father, for 1)taking the stinger out of death and establishing an 2)assured hope for my future. Not only

do I believe that Jesus rose from the dead, but I also believe you will also raise me up and bless me with life forever in

your 3)presence. For this 4)enduring victory, I praise you in Jesus' name. Amen.

  사랑하는 아버지, 죽음에서 독침을 빼내시고 제 미래 소망을 확립해 주심에 감사를 드립니다. 저는 예수님께서 죽은 자 가운데에서 살아나신 것을 믿을 뿐 아니라, 당신께서 저를 일으키시고 당신의 임재 속에서 영원한 삶(생명)으로 축복하실 것을 믿습니다. 이런 영원한 승리에 대해 예수님 이름으로 당신께 찬양을 드립니다. 아멘.
