Custodianship Declaration: When registering for homestay in Canada, some students who are under legal age (legal age is 18 years of age in Quebec and 19 years of age in Ontario and B.C.) may require a Custodianship Declaration (view sample). Please check with the Canadian Embassy in your country to see if a Custodianship Declaration will be required for you. Also note that Custodianship Declaration letters are not transferable from one homestay family to another homestay family.
