Short-term PROJECT & Long-term MINISTRY

I am finding there are two kinds of vision in front of us; sometimes short-term project, other times long-term ministry. Of course depend on the vision, or depend on the situation, that's up to God which mission are given us. We need to prepare for it, because sometimes it comes in the one morning unexpectedly.

If so, what is the short-term project? And long-term ministry?

Let's look at my short-term project first. Once John and I talked about making university, my short-term project begun. But once we started and progressed, I had prepared a bit myself because I read some books on that short-term project. Of course, they didn't say it's good for your short-term project, but I got their message just like God give me these message for my near future. I didn't know how definitely I needed this idea and concept for the project coming soon in the very front of me. I have done just what I have to do. Furthermore, I have never done before this kind of project successfully. People don't understand what I am doing and why I am doing like that. Probably they think I am an eccentricity, and peculiar idiosyncrasy. Yes, that's true. Even I think myself, I was not normal, somewhat crazed to something. That's what I needed, also we need to do short-term project, and if we don't do that like this, it truly can't be done ever.

I met one pastor today and talked about how I made university, and I explained and said "the sooner, the better." He wondered at first, but soon he understands what I meant. Because sometimes we need to complete as soon as possible because today's people are busy, so they can't wait forever, as someone they don't wait for ages. That's why to give urgency is necessary. Without urgency people are not alert and the most they become medicare. Because they think no need to hurry. Anyway, we had done concentrated to make university in due time. What is the due time. I mean this that we need to decide when to finish, where is the finish line, when to land at that spot.

단기프로젝트 및 장기사역

나는 우리 앞에 두 가지 종류의 비전이 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 하나는 단기 프로젝트, 다른 것은 장기 사역이다. 물론 비전에 따라, 또는 상황에 따라, 또 그것은 우리에게 어떤 사명이 주어지느냐에 달려 있다. 어느 날 아침에 갑자기 찾아오는 경우도 있기 때문에 대비가 필요하다. 만약 그렇다면, 단기 프로젝트는 무엇인가? 그리고 장기적인 사역은?

먼저 제 단기 프로젝트를 살펴보겠다. 일단 존과 내가 대학을 만드는 것에 대해 이야기하자, 나의 단기 프로젝트가 시작되었다. 하지만 우리가 시작하고 발전한 후에, 나는 그 단기 프로젝트에 관한 책을 읽었기 때문에 나 스스로 조금 준비했다.

물론, 그들은 그것이 단기 프로젝트에 좋다고 말하지 않았지만, 나는 하나님께서 나의 가까운 미래를 위해 이런 메시지를 주시는 것처럼 그들의 메시지를 받았다. 나는 내 눈앞의 프로젝트를 위해 이 아이디어와 컨셉이 얼마나 확실히 필요한지 몰랐다. 나는 내가 해야 할 일을 했다. 더군다나, 나는 이런 종류의 프로젝트를 성공적으로 해 본 적이 없다. 사람들은 내가 무엇을 하고 왜 그렇게 하는지 이해하지 못한다. 아마도 그들은 나를 특이한 사람이라고 생각할 것이다. 네, 맞다. 나 자신도 평범하지 않았고, 뭔가에 미쳐 있었다고 생각한다. 그것이 내가 필요했던 것이다. 또한 우리는 단기 프로젝트를 해야 한다. 그리고 우리가 이렇게 하지 않는다면, 그것은 결코 이루어질 수 없다.

오늘 한 목사님을 만나 어떻게 대학을 만들게 됐는지 이야기를 나눴고, 설명하면서 "빠르면 빠를수록 좋다"고 말했다. 그는 처음에는 의아해했지만, 곧 내 뜻을 이해했다. 왜냐하면 때때로 우리는 가능한 한 빨리 완성해야 한다. 왜냐하면 오늘날의 사람들은 바쁘기 때문이다. 그래서 그들은 오랫동안 기다리지 않고, 또 영원히 기다릴 수 없다. 그것이 긴박성을 주는 것이 필요한 이유이다. 긴박성이 없으면 사람들은 경각심을 갖지 못하고 대부분 게을러진다. 그들은 서두를 필요가 없다고 생각하기 때문이다. 어쨌든, 우리는 적절한 시기에 대학을 만들기 위해 집중했다. 마감 시간이 언제인가? 내 말은 우리가 언제 끝낼지, 어디서 결승선을 통과할지, 언제 그 지점에 착륙할지 결정해야 한다는 것이다.
