Year 3 Entry Point - Vanishing Rainforests  사라지는 열대우림

Last week, our Year 3 students packed their mosquito repellent, grabbed their clipboards, and set off on an exciting adventure to Tropical Spice Garden as the Entry Point for their ‘Vanishing Rainforests’ topic.

The day began with a challenge as students tackled a steep climb to the top of the garden, showing determination and enthusiasm right from the start. From there, they worked in groups to explore the rainforest surroundings and complete a range of engaging activities.

Using their navigational skills, the children made their way through different areas of the garden. They applied their understanding of rainforest layers by sketching and labelling what they observed, and also took part in activities such as identifying plants and animals, visiting the Poison Garden, and even enjoying a relaxing fish spa experience.

It was wonderful to see our Year 3 students showing such respect and curiosity for the natural environment. This memorable trip has certainly sparked excitement for the rest of their learning journey on this topic.

학생들이 정원 꼭대기까지 가파른 등반을 도전하며 처음부터 결단력과 열정을 보여주는 도전으로 하루가 시작되었습니다. 그곳에서 학생들은 그룹을 이루어 열대우림 주변을 탐험하고 다양한 흥미로운 활동을 마쳤습니다.
아이들은 항해 기술을 활용해 정원의 다양한 구역을 통과했습니다. 관찰한 내용을 스케치하고 라벨을 붙이며 열대우림 층에 대한 이해를 적용하고 식물과 동물 식별, 포이즌 가든 방문, 편안한 피시 스파 체험 등의 활동에도 참여했습니다.
3학년 학생들이 자연 환경에 대한 존중과 호기심을 보여주는 모습을 보니 정말 좋았습니다. 이 기억에 남는 여행은 이 주제에 대한 남은 학습 여정에 대한 설렘을 불러일으켰습니다.
