Design opportunity: Milan Design Week 2027

What if your temporary home became a space for experimentation, imagination and design?

BASE Milano and the British Council are inviting emerging designers - one based in the UK and one in Malaysia - to take part in ‘We Will Design 2027’ during Milan Design Week.

Selected designers will transform a room at casaBASE into a creative research environment, showcasing their work and engaging with the public. This year’s brief explores daydreaming as a shared and imaginative practice, inviting designers to consider new possibilities for how we see and shape the world.

Open call: 21 October – 27 November 2026
