6  Cuando Jesús estaba en Betania, en casa de Simón el leproso,+ 
7  se le acercó una mujer con un frasco de alabastro lleno de un aceite perfumado muy caro. Y, mientras él estaba comiendo,* ella comenzó a derramárselo en la cabeza. 
8  Al ver esto, los discípulos se indignaron y dijeron: “¿A qué viene este desperdicio? 
9  Se podría haber vendido por una buena cantidad de dinero para dárselo a los pobres”. 
10  Jesús, que se dio cuenta, les dijo: “¿Por qué quieren causarle problemas a esta mujer? Ella ha hecho algo muy bueno por mí. 
11  Porque a los pobres siempre los tienen con ustedes,+ pero a mí no me van a tener siempre.+ 
12  Cuando ella me puso este aceite perfumado en el cuerpo, me estaba preparando para mi entierro.+ 
13  Les aseguro que, en todo el mundo, en cualquier lugar donde se prediquen estas buenas noticias, también se contará lo que hizo esta mujer, y así será recordada”.+


6  While Jesus was in Bethʹa·ny in the house of Simon the leper,+ 
7  a woman with an alabaster jar of costly perfumed oil approached him, and she began pouring it on his head as he was dining.* 
8  On seeing this, the disciples became indignant and said: “Why this waste? 
9  For this could have been sold for a great deal of money and given to the poor.” 
10  Aware of this, Jesus said to them: “Why do you try to make trouble for the woman? She did a fine deed toward me. 
11  For you always have the poor with you,+ but you will not always have me.+ 
12  When she put this perfumed oil on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.+ 
13  Truly I say to you, wherever this good news is preached in all the world, what this woman did will also be told in memory of her.”+


6  예수께서 베다니에서 나병 환자 시몬의 집에 계실 때에,+ 
7  어떤 여자가 값비싼 향유가 담긴 설화 석고 병을 가지고 그분에게 다가와서, 식사를 하고* 계신 그분의 머리에 향유를 붓기 시작했다. 
8  제자들은 이것을 보고 분개하며 말했다. “왜 이렇게 낭비하는 거지? 
9  그것을 비싼 값에 팔아 가난한 사람들에게 줄 수도 있었을 텐데.” 
10  예수께서는 이것을 아시고 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “왜 이 여자를 괴롭히려고 합니까? 이 여자는 나에게 훌륭한 일을 했습니다. 
11  가난한 사람들은 언제나 여러분 곁에 있지만,+ 나는 언제나 여러분 곁에 있지는 않을 것입니다.+ 
12  이 여자가 내 몸에 향유를 부은 것은 내 장례를 준비하기 위한 것입니다.+ 
13  진실로 여러분에게 말하는데, 온 세상 어디든지 이 좋은 소식이 전파되는 곳에서는 이 여자가 한 일도 알려져 이 여자를 기억하게 될 것입니다.”+
