   Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer,
   그 때가 가장 즐겁다
   That calls me from a world of care,
   이 세상 근심 걱정에
   And bids me at my Father's throne,
   얽매인 나를 부르사
   Make all my wants and wishes known!
   내 진정 소원 주 앞에
   In seasons of distress and grief,
   낱낱이 바로 아뢰어
   My soul has often found relief,
   큰 불행 당해 슬플 때
   And oft escaped the tempter's,
   나 위로 받게 하시네
   By thy return sweet hour of prayer.

   내게는 가장 귀하다
   The joys I feel, the bliss I share
   저 광야 같은 세상을
   Of those whose anxious spirits burn
   끝없이 방황하다가
   With strong desires for Thy return!
   위태한 길을 떠나서
   With such I hasten to the place
   주께로 내가 이끌려
   Where God, my Saviour, shows His face.
   그 보좌 앞에 나아가
   And gladly take my station there,
   큰 은혜 받게 하시네
   And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

   Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer,
   그때가 가장 즐겁다
   Thy wings shall my petition bear
   이때 껫 지은 큰 죄로
   To Him, whose truth and faithfulness
   내 마음 섧고 아파도
   Engage the waiting soul to bless
   참 마음으로 뉘우쳐
   And since He bids me seek His face,
   다 숨김없이 아뢰면
   Believe His Word, and trust His grace,
   주 나를 위해 복 빌어
   I'll cast on Him my ev'ry care,
   새 은혜 부어주시네
   And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

   그때가 가장 즐겁다
   Our Lord Himself knew gladness there
   주 세상에서 일찍이
   And oftentimes, when thronged about,
   저 요란한 곳 피하여
   Would slip away and seek it out,
   빈들에서나 산에서
   And pray all night in field or hill,
   온 밤을 새워지내사
   While all the clam'ring world grew still.
   주 예수 친히 기도로
   His ways to walk, His joys to share,
   큰 본을 보여주셨네 아멘
