하와이호텔 별, "리조트피(Resort fee)" 현황~

여행사나 예약사이트를 통해서 호텔비를 지불하고 예약을 하여도, 체크인시 체류기간에 따른(1박당) 리조트피를 다시 지불해야하는 것이 기본적인 호텔규정입니다.

원래는 대단위로 시설이 잘 갖추어진 리조트호텔들이 호텔내 시설을 이용하는 비용을 일률적으로 부과하는 것으로 시작을 하였지만, 최근에는 호텔비를 올리는 차원에서 부과하는 경우도 있어서, 항공권료의 유류할증료과 같은 역활을 하는 듯해서.. 좀 씁씁하기도 합니다.

또, 주로 마우이섬이나, 빅아일랜드섬, 카우아이섬과 같은 휴양을 목적으로하는 리조트호텔들이 리조트피를 부과하였지만, 최근에는 와이키키내 일반호텔들마저도 부과를 시작하고 있어서, 예약시나 체크인시 혼동이 되지 않도록 예약하는 곳을 통해서 충분히 확인할 필요가 있습니다.

여행사들은 판매시에 호텔비자체에 리조트피를 붙여서 최종가격으로 안내하는 경우가 많지만, 일부여행사들은 낮은 가격으로 홍보하기 위해서 호텔체크인시 여행객들이 직접지불하도록 처리하기도 하며, 인터넷예약사이트들은 대부분 여행객들이 직접지불하도록 하는 방식을 채택하고 있습니다.
