We often regard the position of freedom,
What I want
A state in which one can choose at will
It seems like you're thinking casually.
No matter what anyone says,
that is my freedom, they say,
Freedom, as one pleases
Or something that looks easy and common
It seems like you're thinking of it as some kind of object.
I don’t know if this will be a metaphor, but
Just because today started, that
I don't say that it's what I chose.
When humans are led around by their own desires, or, When you get what you want
It’s not something free,
When understanding the essence of oneself and the world
Only then do you begin to feel true freedom
Spinoza is saying.
I’m not sure if it’s a somewhat difficult term, but,
If you look simply, responsibility and understanding, and When executing it correctly
Only then can we finally discuss freedom.
