Meet one of our international students who has truly found her footing at Tenby. Here's what she had to say about her journey so far:

“Before I joined Tenby in 2019, I studied at a government school in China. Even in Year 4, I felt a lot of stress — most of my free time was spent on homework and tuition. But after moving to Malaysia and enrolling at Tenby, I finally had time to discover what I enjoy and what I’m good at. I started figure skating and piano from zero, and now I can proudly represent the school in national competitions.

What I love most about Tenby is the learning style — it gives me the chance to explore things beyond academics. And even though I’m a foreigner, I’ve never felt out of place. My teachers support me, and my classmates are always kind.”

"2019년 텐비에 입사하기 전에는 중국의 한 공립학교에서 공부했습니다. 4학년 때도 대부분의 자유 시간이 숙제와 학비로 쓰였을 정도로 스트레스를 많이 받았습니다. 하지만 말레이시아로 이주하여 텐비에 입학한 후 마침내 제가 무엇을 즐기고 무엇을 잘하는지 알아볼 수 있는 시간을 가졌습니다. 피겨 스케이팅과 피아노를 제로부터 시작했고, 이제는 전국 대회에서 자랑스럽게 학교를 대표할 수 있게 되었습니다.
제가 텐비에서 가장 좋아하는 것은 학문적인 것을 넘어 다양한 것을 탐구할 수 있는 학습 스타일입니다. 그리고 외국인임에도 불구하고 한 번도 어색함을 느낀 적이 없습니다. 선생님들도 저를 지지해 주시고 반 친구들도 항상 친절합니다."
