■ 2nd Dan Cutting Test Regulations

Use a single sword (Ssangsukum).

Perform both left and right diagonal cuts.

It does not matter whether the cuts are downward or upward, but two distinct cuts must be executed.


■ 3rd Dan Cutting Test Regulations

Use two target stances.

Use a single sword (Ssangsukum).

Perform at least 5 cuts in total.

Must include both left and right cuts, and at least one upward cut.


■ 4th Dan Cutting Test Regulations

Use three or more target stances.

Must use double swords(Ssangkum).

Perform at least 8 cuts in total.

Must include left and right cuts, as well as both upward and downward cuts.


■ 5th Dan Cutting Test Regulations

Use four or more target stances.

Must use double swords(Ssangkum).

Perform at least 10 cuts in total.

Must include left and right cuts, as well as both upward and downward cuts.
