Year 4 Exit Point - Breakfast Club  조식 클럽

The Year 4s have learnt so much in their Young Entrepreneurs unit. They explored the key aspects of teamwork and cooperation, including the importance of good leadership, delegation and effective communication between group members. The initial task seemed simple - could we create cereal that could then be sold at our Breakfast Club? The answer, however, proved surprisingly complex, with answers drawing upon many important aspects of entrepreneurship. There was the design stage, in which children had to think about which ingredients would help them create a tasty snack and one that would stand out from competing groups. They then had to consider their budget. After receiving a loan of RM70 per group from Mr Towse, they began to recognise the difference between earning money and earning a profit. Finally, they needed to think about effective marketing and promotion of their product, which meant careful consideration with respect to the design of their Breakfast Club stalls, with some groups even coordinating uniforms to reinforce their brand! All in all, the children raised almost a staggering RM3000! The proceeds of which were used to pay back their loan and even fund their own end-of-year trip to the cinema and there was even some left over to make some sweet treats! What a fantastic unit it has been. Well done Year 4!
