Hi Keonhee, it has been a while, congrats on the new album, it's fabulous! I'm actually listening to it now while I write to you. It has been on repeat this evening as it is the first chance I have had to listen. It gave me some early day Oneus vibes whilst also being fresh and new and wow, the writing and composition really suits you guys. I am thoroughly enjoying all of the songs. Well done, I hope you are enjoying working with the new company and they are treating you well.
I think it has been about 3 years since I wrote to you, I was honestly surprised I was even able to find my information to log back into fancafe. I am so sorry I haven't written sooner, I feel like such a bad fan, but life has just got in the way. I broke my promise to write to you every day and I feel bad about that, especially as so much has happened for you guys in that time and I have not been able to follow along as I used to. But I am still here, happily listening from the countryside in England. I hope you didn't forget me. I did come to see you perform in London, I was really poor at the time, but I was luckily able to fund a ticket and it was so great to have you performing as a group and not in a festival line-up. It is a shame you aren't coming to London on this concert tour, but I am sure you will get the chance again. Until then I shall wait eagerly and make sure I keep some money aside for a ticket. I spent the entire concert singing along, dancing and waving my 1st gen lightstick enthusiastically from the side lines. It was a great concert, odd with just the 4 of you, but still great. I actually adored the 'X' release and it has quickly climbed as one of my all time Oneus favourites, my favourite is still 'Dead or Alive', I am at least consistent in my music taste!
I wonder how your English is coming along? I confess I had to take a massive break from Korean lessons because I could not consistently afford it, so I have been doing my best to keep fresh with it and I have recently started re-learning on my own. I feel like I am enjoying it more after a break, less pressure. However I really want to improve my speaking so I am utilising speech recognition to help with my pronunciation. I hope this letter is not too difficult for you, but in a way, I also hope your English has got so good it is much easier for you to read my incredibly long-winded letters :D
I thought as it has been a while, I shall give you a short update, remember this fella?
this lad is now a qualified assistance dog! He turns 5 years old in January! I almost brought him along to the concert in London, but I was worried about the noise levels being too much for him, so I played it safe and left him home. My health took a bit of a turn for the worse and I ended up having emergency back surgery last September because I could barely walk. I am fully on the mend now and I am much more mobile, but Pippin supports me with both my chronic health conditions and my autistic meltdowns which seem to be getting worse with age. But look at him, doesn't he look all smart in his working gear? :)
He's a special boy. Pippin still loves 'Bing Bing' he loves classic Oneus. I blame that on me using Bing Bing as my alarm when he was a tiny pup so he always knew it was feeding time. He gets so excited it still makes me laugh, nearly 5 years later and he has such an immediate response to it :D
I think the last time I wrote to you I was also heading off to a first date with a guy I had been talking to for a few weeks. 3 years on.... he and I are still happily together! Though we don't live together, he has ended up being an amazing partner and I still have to thank you for being such a wonderful guy yourself making me able to recognise what a good man should be like. He even supports my love of K-pop and bought me a ticket to see StrayKids in concert last year, he even drove me into London and waited in his van for 3 hours in a supermarket car park until the concert was finished and then drove me home. He would have bought me a ticket to see you as well, but he spent ALOT on the previous ticket and because you guys are my absolute faves, I wanted to pay for it myself.
I am also getting back into photography and I took up leather working. It is something I always wanted to try, but my partner IS a leatherworker in his spare time so he has been teaching me. It seems I have found a way to combine my painting skills along with something that is practical and I have been getting asked to take commissions and sell my work, so I must be doing something right. I haven't been working as a dog trainer for over 2 years now. My health was really impacting my work so I stopped. I have been out of work for 2 years because of it :/ I am looking for ways to use my knowledge to help people still without it taking a toll on my health, so self-employment is going to be my way forward but in a more advisory role if I can make it happen. I will have to take it slowly because even though my kids are all adults now, my middle daughter still requires a lot of care and they are all still living at home. It is a bit crowded now so hopefully they will afford to move out soon.
Anyway, belated birthday greetings, I hope it was a good one and apologies I have missed sending a birthday greeting for so long :( Best of luck with album promotion and with your tour. I shall try not to be a stranger for so long next time. Wishing you all the best.
You are still, and always will be, my love, take care
lots of love
Emily
