Process My advice to newcomers and brand new proposals

To newcomers as well as all of members

I hope to see you at the meeting again and regularly! I know you are the right person who is searching for highly qualified discussion group. However, our meeting is just in the middle of process to become one of best English discussion group. Please do not decline with thanks whenever I ask for you to join our meeting again!

If possible and if you have opportunity to join other English discussion club you could figure out the strong point of our meeting, English Actually.

I want to say something more about our meeting.

Firstly, I can guarantee our meeting will be one of the best non profit organizations which will provide best programs for Korean to keep have opportunity to speak English fluently. Especially, I would like to focus on the system in which we can learn the skill of presentation and the manner of discussion and negotiation. I want to say that speaking ability in English is basic requirement to study those methods through our meeting activity.

Secondly, our organization will provide foreigner with Korean class. Those foreigners will include native foreign language speakers, Korean residents abroad and international adoptee. Recently I became to understand that many of foreigners or Korean Americans are tying to have a chance to learn Korean due to various reasons. As you aware, if they are going to have a job in Korea they need certain level of ability of speaking of Korean. Some of native Koreans prefer language exchange to just teaching Korean to foreigners. But, whenever I meet Korean who are looking for language exchange or who is doing that currently, I think they are selfish or clever but not wise. You will have much chance to learn English through this after you become a teacher for them.

Finally, I want to accept one proposal from our members about our regulation. We employed interview system to check the newcomer’s speaking ability or understanding about our meetings. But there is no placement test to decide who will be belonging to which color because there is no difference from meeting to meeting.

But I heard that each member has totally different preference on the topic. For example, women are likely to select minor topics, such as Annie’s mail box. Men are inclined to discuss challengeable topic, such as politics, economics.  So I want to propose that two meetings should be classified based on their preference. One room is just for person who are likely to talk about human relationship etc, just conversation like chit chatting. And the other is for person who want to discuss little serious topic.

I know you should be patient to read above long and terrible writing.

I like your idea of classifying groups into two as one of lke chit chatting and another of serious discussion. Also, it was good to know that you are going to have foreigners or Korean Americans join the meetings. ^.^

Hope all is going to be well with this new proposal. Now, it's time to make an implementation plan!!! and need for deep consideration from members... I would like to share my tiny effort somhow or other if I can get a chance. From small beginings came great things!!!
