[On a Beautiful Day in October]

A song celebrating autumn love and happiness

Autumn is a beautiful season of harvest and fulfillment, and October is perhaps its most glorious month. To celebrate this wonderful time of year, I would like to introduce one of Korea’s most beloved autumn songs.

The song was originally an instrumental violin piece titled Serenade to Spring, composed and performed by Secret Garden, the Irish-Norwegian musical duo. Korean lyricist Han Kyung-hye later wrote beautiful Korean lyrics for the melody, and Kim Dong-kyu, a renowned Korean baritone known for his powerful voice and rich, warm tone, brought the song to life. Since then, it has become one of Korea’s most cherished songs for autumn.

For today’s video, I have paired a newly created illustration with a recording of myself singing this song to an instrumental accompaniment (MR) previously prepared by Jo Hae-eum. My singing is amateurish and may have its rough edges, but I wanted to share this little musical greeting with you on a beautiful October day. I hope you will enjoy the video with a kind and generous heart.

May you all enjoy a wonderful autumn and a beautiful October filled with good health, happiness, and precious moments!
