Cantata No. 147 " Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben" ( 마음과 말씀과  행동과 생명으로) 은 1개의 합창곡,4곡의 아리아,3곡의 레치타티보 및 2곡의 코랄로 되여있는데, 이 곡은 제 10곡의 코랄로 소프라노,알토,테너 및 베이스의 4중창이다.

10월 31 일의 종교개혁 축제일에 부르는  칸타타 (Cantata for the Reformation Festival,BWV 80)의 8곡 중, 제 1곡  합창곡이다.

  Ein feste Burg ist unserer Gott,  
     A stronghold sure our God is still,
  Ein gute Wehr und Waffen;    
     a trusty shield and sword.
  Er hilft uns frei aus aller Not, 
    He sets us free from every ill 
  Die uns itzt hat betroffen,    
    that ever did beset us,
  Der alte boese Feind,          
   The ancient evil fiend                            
 Mit Ernst er's itzt meint,  
   doth compass us around 
  Gross Macht und viel List           
    with mighty and  craft                      
  Sein grausam Ruestung ist,
    in grimmest armour clad
  Auf Erd ist nicht seinsgleichen.   
    on earth he has no equall.
