38) 4/1 (Mon) Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, Lugo - This place also has a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site.

I visited A Coruna, a city on the northwestern coast of Spain, because I wanted to see the port city that
dates back to Roman times, the Tower of Hercules, a lighthouse from that era, and the anchorage of the Armada. About 100 kilometers west on the A-1 highway is Lugo, a small city of about 85,000 people.
After driving for over 20 days, I'm starting to feel increasingly fatigued. Isn't it inevitable that we sometimes get. Everyone seemed exhausted after spending about 30 minutes writing up a report with the police
and the driver of the injured vehicle after an unexpected car accident in A Coruna. I wanted to get to
Lugo quickly and rest. Lugó is visible in the distance. It's the capital of the Galicia region, with a population of 85,000 ritated by trivial matters?
The town boasts several valuable cultural assets, including a castle built around 10 BC during the Roman era, surrounded by what is known as the Roman Wall (Muralla). With a perimeter of approximately 2 km, it was built to protect against invasion. This perfectly preserved Roman castle is a rarity in Europe, and UNESCO designated it a "Heritage of Humanity" on November 30, 2000.
We unpacked at a hotel right in front of the castle gate and rested for over three hours. After a good rest, we entered the castle late that evening.

스페인 서 북부 해안 도시 A Coruna를 들린 것은 로마 시대 부터의 항구 도시, 그리고 당시의 등대 헤라클레이스 탑을 보면서 무적함대의 정박지도 보고 싶었기에 들린 것이다. 이 곳에서 A-1 고속 도로로 약 100여 Km서쪽으로 가면 인구 8만 5천명 정도가 있는 조그마한 도시 Lugo가 있다.
그동안 20여 일 이상 직접 드라이브하면서 여행을 하다보니 피로가 가중되고 있다. 때로는 사소한 일로 신경이 날카로워 지는 것은 인간이기에 피할 수 없는 현상이 아니 겠는가?
A coruna에서 예기치 못한 자동차 접촉 사고로  경찰과 피해 차량 운전자와 30여 분 사고 보고서를 작성하느라  모두들 피로해 진 것 같았다.
빨리 Lugo에 가서 쉬고 싶었다. 
저 멀리 Lugo가 보인다.  인구 8만 5천 명의 갈라씨아 주 주도이다.
이 마을은 여러가지 중료한 문화재가 있는데 그 중 BC 10년 경 로마시대에 건축된 성으로 둘러 쌓여 있다. 이성을 Roman Wall(Muralla)이라고 부른다.  둘레가 약 2Km로서 외적의 침략으로 부터 보호하기위하여 세운 것이다.
로마시대에 건축된 성이 이렇게 완벽하게 보존된 것은 유럽에서는 보기드문일로 유네스코에서도 2000년 11월 30일 "Heritage of Humanity(인류 문화 유산)로 지정하였다.


성문 바로 앞에 있는 호텔에 여장을 풀고 모두들 3시간 이상 휴식을 취했다. 충분히 휴식을 취하고 저녁 늦게 성 안으로 들어 갔다.
