5. 유럽 - 2

여러분은 하나님의 재창조 섭리 역사가 얼마나 힘들고, 기가 막히고 한스러운가 하는 것을 절감할 것입니다. 올리브나무가 뿌리를 내리는 데는 15년이 걸린다고 합니다.

그러나 일단 뿌리를 내린 올리브나무는 환경에 적응하여 2000년이 넘는 수명을 가지게 됩니다. 그래서 예수님 때 있었던 나무들이 아직도 있습니다.

오스트리아를 중심으로  유럽의 식구들도 50년 동안에 갖은 어려움이 있었겠지만 당당하고 깊게 뿌리를 내린 것을 보았습니다. 15년 걸려서 뿌리를 내린 나무보다도 50년 걸려서 뿌리를 내린 나무가 천재지변이 있더라도 더욱 굳건하게 살아남을 수 있을 것입니다.

나는 오래된 식구들의 간증을 들었고, 또 그들이 낳은 2세와 3세들을 만났습니다. 이제 50년을 보내고 새롭게 50년을 출발하는 이 시점에 있어서 "유럽에는 희망이 있구나."라고 생각했습니다. 그래서 어제와 다른 오늘과 내일을 위해서 우리는 달라져야 한다고 강조했습니다.

皆さんは、神様の再創造摂理歴史がどれほど大変で、途方もなく、恨みに満ちた歴史であったかを痛感するでしょう。オリーブの木が根を下ろすには15年かかるといいます。しかし、一度根を下ろしたオリーブの木は環境に適応して、2000年を越える寿命をもつようになります。

ですから、イエス様の時代にあった木が今も存在しています。オーストリアを中心としたヨーロッパの食口たちも、50年の間に様々な困難があったでしょうが、立派に深く根を下ろしている姿を見ました。

15年かかって根を下ろした木よりも50年かかって根を下ろした木のほうが、天災地変があったとしても一層堅固に生き残ることができるでしょう。私は、古い食口たちの証を聞きましたし、彼らが生んだ二世と三世たちに会いました。

これまでの50年を送り、新たに50年を出発するこの時点においてヨーロッパには希望があると思いました。それで、昨日と違うきょうとあすのために、私たちは変わらなければならないと強調しました。（2015.5.24、ニューヨーク、マンハッタン•センター）

5. Europe - 2 

Think about how difficult, dumbfounding and bitter God's providential history of re-creation has been. For an olive tree's roots to grow takes 15 years. However, once an olive tree has rooted itself and adjusted to the environment, it can live for more than 2,000 years.

Today, we can still find trees that were alive in Jesus' time. Similarly, European members, centered on Austria, have faced all sorts of difficulties during the past 50 years, and yet we see that they have grown roots, confidently and deeply.

A tree that has roots that take 50 years to grow is more likely to survive any kind of natural disaster than a tree that has roots that take 15 years to grow.

Listening to the testimonies of older members, meeting them and the second- and third-generation members that are their fruit, I felt that there is hope in Europe at this point as it says farewell to the past 50 years and sets off on the road to a new 50 years.

For this reason, I have emphasized the need for us to change our lives for the future, so that today and tomorrow are different from yesterday. (2015.05.24, Manhattan Center, New York)
