Friends, let's talk about culutre.
FYI, Korean people say "우리 남편", "우리 집사람"? because, as we know 우리 means we or our. some of you don't understand. correct?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
yes, it's corret 우리 means we, our, us
우리는 어제 만났어요. we met yesterday.
우리를 어디로 데리고 가는 거예요? where you bring us to?
우리 집 : our house. 우리 남편 our husband, 우리 집사람 our wife.
but 우리 has another meaning "울타리" means fence.
so If my daughter said 우리 아버지 it means our father and father who is in the fence.
and my wife said, 우리 남편, it means husaband who is in the fence, he is in my boundary of love, he is mine. don't expect he is a single.
friends, how do you call your husband or wife or how your father and mam call each others in your country? tell me your coulture. if you want. Good day.
첫댓글 Asmara El Mansari : Oh I thought it was out of respect. In Morocco and in Arabic when we use plural pronouns to address singular context, it's a honorific
Oumaima : in Morocco, I think it depends on each family,
Some call by their name ( most of the families I guess )
But some call :
Chérie 자기야 , my love , my crown( تاج راسي ) , the owner of my house ( مولا داري ) ,....
Hhhhhhhh 😅it feels so weird translating this in English
Jihada: in general they call each others by there nams.... and also: Hbiba (my love) , Hajja for tha wife and Hajj for the husaband, it's about old couples😁😁
Here I found a video they asked them the same question @Joseph Kim ,
The question " what is the contact name of ur wife / husband written in ur phone ? "
They said :
•Hbichti: my love ( I guess )
•Sousou : I think his wife's name is Souad , so it makes it sound cute
•Sbe3 : The lion
* his / her real name : but when she calls him she says " Sehraoui join the direction if you want to eat , Over " [ That means the food is ready so he can come home to eat with the family ]
* My wife ( Madame)
* Lghali means the precious
Imane Fettouh : The most basic of all would be : Rajli (my husband/my man) and Mrati (my wife / My woman) ^^
