주간묵상 25-28

<하나님의 난수표>

난수표란 암호를 숫자로 표시한 것.

전쟁 시 암호가 적군에게 해독되어

작전이 실패하거나 큰 피해를 입은

역사적 사건들 중 일례 만 소개.

2차 세계대전 시 일본의

암호체계(JN-25)를 미군이 해독.

일본의 미드웨이 섬 기습계획을

미국이 사전에 파악.

일본의 대 패배와 미국의 승리.

일본의 항공모함 4척 격침,

일본 항공기 250여 대 손실,

베테랑 조종사 다수 전사 등.

JN-25란 일본해군의 암호체계,

작전명령과 계획의 전달 수단,

숫자 5자리 코드로 구성.

난독을 위해 여러 단계로 암호화.

미 해군의 암호해독센터 HYPO는

일본군 암호에 “AF”가 자주 등장감안,

“미드웨이 섬에 물이 부족”이란 내용을

미군은 가짜로 송신,

“AF는 물이 부족하다”는 내용이

며칠 후 일본의 통신에 나타남,

이로서 AF는 미드웨이 라고 확정.

이러한 방법 등으로 주요 암호 해독.

나는 월남전에서 통신과에,

그리고 귀국 후 정보과에서 근무,

이 암호체제를 잘 알고 있다.

컴퓨터과학의 발달에 의해서

지금은 개인의 일상통화나,

각 국가의 중요한 기밀도

미국은 거의 다 알고 있으며

다만 모른척할 뿐이라 생각한다.

계시록은 하나님의 난수표로 구성.

- 숫자: 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, 24, 40, 42, 666, 1260, 1000.

- 동물: 어린양, 사자, 용, 첫째 둘째 짐승, 네 생물, 말들.

- 자연: 해 달 별의 변화, 지진, 우박, 불, 유황, 무저갱에서 나는 연기.

- 색깔: 흰색, 붉은색, 검은색, 청황색.

- 인물 등: 음녀, 바벨론, 새 예루살렘, 짐승의 표, 금 촛대, 별, 생명책.

나는 3살 때부터 성경을 읽었다.

아버지께서 가정예배 때 마다

손가락으로 성경을 짚어서

한 두 글자라도 따라서 읽게 하셨고

초등학교 입학 전에 성경을 다 읽었다.

나는 신학교에서 강의했던 계시록을

1993년에 문서화 초판 및 8판 발행

1 계시는 반드시 알 수 있는 것.

2 계시의 내용은 성경말씀에서 알 수 있음.

3 계시의 틀을 찾을 것(해석을 위하여)

4 계시에 대한 확실한 믿음을 가질 것.

5 계시는 하나님의 나라에 들어가는 믿음의 삶을 살도록 안내함.

6 계시는 하나님을 믿는 자에게 주는 승리의 구원이며 희망이다.

<God’s Codebook of Random Numbers>

A codebook of random numbers is a way of encrypting messages using numerical representations.

Throughout history, there have been numerous wartime failures caused by enemy forces successfully deciphering secret codes. Here's just one notable example:

During World War II, the United States cracked the Japanese Navy’s cryptographic system known as JN-25.

Through this breakthrough, the U.S. was able to uncover Japan’s surprise attack plan on Midway Island in advance.

This led to a devastating defeat for Japan and a decisive victory for the U.S.:

four Japanese aircraft carriers were sunk, around 250 aircraft were lost, and many seasoned pilots perished.

JN-25 was a sophisticated code system used by the Japanese Navy for transmitting operational orders and plans, composed of five-digit codes encrypted through multiple layers for obfuscation.

The U.S. Navy’s cryptanalysis center, HYPO, noticed the frequent appearance of the term "AF" in Japanese communications.

To confirm‎ its meaning, the U.S. sent a false message claiming that "Midway Island was short on fresh water."

Soon after, a Japanese message reported that "AF was short on water," thus confirm‎ing that “AF” referred to Midway Island.

Using such techniques, the U.S. successfully decrypted crucial enemy messages.

I personally served in the communications unit during the Vietnam War, and later worked in military intelligence upon returning to Korea.

Because of this, I am well-acquainted with cryptographic systems.

With today’s advancements in computer science, I believe that not only private conversations but also classified national intelligence is often accessible to major powers like the United States—though they may choose to feign ignorance.

The book of Revelation is, in a spiritual sense, God’s codebook of divine encryption.

Its symbolic language consists of:

- Numbers: 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, 24, 40, 42, 666, 1,260, 1,000

- Beasts and Creatures: the Lamb, the Lion, the Dragon, the First and Second Beasts, the Four Living Creatures, the Horses

- Nature: cosmic disturbances—sun, moon, stars, earthquakes, hail, fire, sulfur, and smoke rising from the abyss

- Colors: white, red, black, pale (greenish-yellow)

- Figures and Symbols: the Great Prostitute, Babylon, the New Jerusalem, the Mark of the Beast, the Golden Lampstands, Stars, the Book of Life

The book of Revelation is God’s encrypted message of victory, a divine code through which the Gospel triumphed over the Roman Empire, which sought to exterminate the Christian faith.

I began reading the Bible at the age of three.

During family devotions, my father would have me follow along with his finger, reading a few syllables at a time.

Before I even entered elementary school, I had read through the entire Bible.

I later taught Revelation at seminary and published the first edition of my written exposition in 1993, now in its 8th edition.

1 Revelation is something that can be known for sure.

2 The content of Revelation can be known from the Bible.

3 Find the framework of Revelation (for interpretation)

4 Have a firm belief in Revelation.

5 Revelation guides us to live a life of faith that will lead us to the kingdom of God.

6 Revelation is the salvation and hope of victory given to those who believe in God.

The above summary includes remarks from a former seminary president regarding this work.

Now, preparations are underway to publish a bilingual Korean-English edition for overseas missions.

Plans are also being made to translate and publish this work into other major languages such as Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, and Arabic—

All in the hope of proclaiming the global victory of the Gospel.

In war, the outcome is determined by the accuracy of information.

Without understanding Revelation’s code—the prophetic symbolism—the Church is doomed to fail in its spiritual battle against Satan.
